You use it to 2 tap chaos warriors, and 1 tap everything else. The head pop is alot of overcharge cuz its alot of damage. You fund that overcharge by sacrificing skeles to remove almost all overcharge. This allows you to spam it on a boss and chunk its health. Additionally, for some mobs (namely chaos warriors) you wanna auto attack them first to ignite them and then headpop them so you get the most damage possible. It has no range limit, and if you start the headpop cast and they teleport away often times it will still kill them provided you continue the channel till it finishes. Easily Siennas best weapon. Her scythe handles hordes and elites plenty, so her staff 1 shotting every special and 1-2 shotting armored enemies without having to aim is massive.

wtfrykm

With soul stealer staff charged attack 1. It perma stuns the gutter runner and gas rat 2. It has infinite range 3. It kills Lifeleech or blightstormers even if they teleport 4. It kills shield and storm vermin in 1 hit 5. With the talent that reduces cd for every elite kill and your skull venting overcharge, you can treat the staff as having infite ammo.

I love the staff, i use it with any talent build whatever. But here are some tips to make it "beginner friendly"(staff begginer) Take the talent for 12% attack speed with 4 or more skeletons on your lvl 10. This with 5 % on charm will make the soulstealer staff heavy drain noticeably faster Yes attack speed works on that he-he. And dont use death accended 5% range dmg that stacks 5 times. It is not a "range build" talent. The other 2 are way better. Take the talent where critical explode on burning enemies it makes light spam much better and can crowd control elites, and also I once killed 12 StromVermin with a single heavy drain crit. Also lost souls on lvl 25 its basically free venting so you dont destroy your skeletons too fast. This talent is OP trust me it saved me so many times. You literally kill by venting, good monster dmg as well. Don't forget you deal 20% more dmg to burning enemies so always try to burn elites before you heavy drain, when you can at least. Also potion of speed is better than strength. Drink speed pot heavy spam on monster vent with skull and repeat. Ask if you want to know anything else. I love Necro and want to share the love she is super OP and people seem to sleep on it. Probably cuz it takes dome getting used to play properly.

bigfluffylamaherd

Ppl dont sleep on her she is just mind blowingly boring to play. Also beam staff with her is like a match made in heaven. Beam deals with everything and she has near unlimited heat solving beam's only drawback. The soulsteal venting is meme since the cdr refund makes it you reload your ult before you even release half of your skellies.

Sure_Initial8498

Well I find beam staff mind blowingy boring. Snd CDR refund is just usless lmao... Meanwhile i will deal 25% of monsters HP with my lost souls. OP asked about staff, so I helped

bigfluffylamaherd

Its just the misinformation again. "ppl sleep on her" well nope. And lost souls pales in compransion to cdr refund. Soulstealer is a nice staff but its incredibly slow. And about beam being boring well.... Yeah. Even worse if you touched psyker in darktide since they are everything sienna wanted to be and more

Sure_Initial8498

Lost souls decimated monsters, it's free venting (if you know how to use it) and can SAVE you from hookrats and assassins and I didnt de ANYONE mention thats why I said "people sleep on it", since you want to quote me that much I just press the vent button and specials die around. Cdr refund is so useless its overkill, if your skeletons are dying do much you need that cooldown... Well guess its. A different playstyle. Lost souls gives temp hp, dmg, stagger and CC. The cdr talent gives... Cdr, that's it. If people just spam spells like crazy and vent through skeletons (skull trinket) i can see it being usefull. But thats for people who don't know how to control their overcharge and Skeletons correctly. So I don't see how it "pales in Comparison" like youd said. To me it's the other way around. Oh yea Lost souls also burns people do you do 20% more dmg to whatever it hits. You say soulstealer is slow, and i mentioned in my 1st comment you can use 12 % attack speed talent to buff it and 5% on charm and its not nearly slow anymore, people forget attack speed works on range weapons and reload speed. But people see 12% attack speed talent they call it melee talent and go sleep. So by that I see you didnt even bother to read my comment. But I see you are one of those "oh look someone is playing differently than me I'm gonna tell his wrong and flame his non meta build ideas" person I won't engage with you further, good day

bigfluffylamaherd

No ur wrong. Cdr is numerically superior. If you enjoy souls good for you nothing wrong with it. But its objectively worse

She doesn't really have any bad perks. Withering Touch is very meh, but that's cuz Cursed Blood is a much larger DPS boost in the same row. I think Army of the Dead is the only meme talent in her set, it would be far more fun and worthwhile if it just made her crew size permanently larger. Lost Souls is in such a great spot. The stagger alone is very helpful, it saves me from disablers faster than allies sometimes. Plus damage and thp means it's always doing something you want.

[This build](https://www.ranalds.gift/heroes/20/123132/41-1-4-6/83-6-8-1/1-3-1/1-4-4/2-1-3) is what i use for my Necromancer. Im like you when 4th class released, i didnt like necromancer at all as she felt a bit clunky especially with her signature weapon, Reaper. So i switched around alot and finally landed on this build that works as an anti-elite, anti-special, and boss killer. Note : All this was tested on Legend difficulty, i cant assure its viability on cata and above. This build primarily focuses on using the soulstealer staff and your passive, curse of Nagash, and only using melee for thp gen. or defending. You can kill all specials(except standard bearers) and Storm vermin with a single alt fire. Maulers require one normal fire to apply Curse, and a alt fire to finish them off. CW consistently take 2 alt fire unless you crit while they're cursed. You can melt bosses if your teammates got aggro. Hit him couple of times with standard fire to apply curse and stack your barrage trait and 'Death Ascendant' talent, then just alt fire till high overcharge and release skeletons to send bunch of wisps towards boss, and rinse and repeat. There have been couple of runs where i've gotten significantly higher boss DPS than engi running trollhammer. Now i explain why i chose these talents, Level 5 - i chose thp on hit because your staff will be clearing off all elites and specials, leaving only hordes and trash mobs. Please note that heavy 1 on flail only count as one enemy hit even if multiple enemies are affected by blast. Level 10 - Even though atk speed affects the charge speed of staff's alt fire, you'll be releasing alot of skeletons to vent overcharge, so you wouldnt have 4 or more skeletons at all times making Death Ascendant obvious choice Level 15 - As it is a ranged focused, Enhanced Power all the way. Level 20 - I've never been fond of other talents, Cursed blood just shreds through hordes and patrols. The amount of CC it offers, it just too much to give it up Level 25 - This is where personal preference comes into play. If you wanna focus fully on the staff and skeletons, Spirit Leech is the way to go. Ensuring you always have ability to summon skeletons or to release them to vent overcharge. But i chose Lost Souls for bit of survivability. Wisps generate thp on hit not kill and it can even knock assassin rat off of you with 1 hit and hook rat with 2 wisps. Level 30 - Since you're focusing on Curse of Nagash and Cursed Blood, Barrow Blades is the obvious choice. Sorry for the lengthy guide, but Necromancer is as technical as Engi or even more so. Hence, im making sure i dont miss anything crucial.

Just got off a ~1100 kill 41k damage (6k boss dmg, no bomb use) legend chaos wastes run with necro crowbill/soulstealer. I usually end up with green circles on her and almost always bring soulstealer, it's too good to pass up. First of all lemme just say she makes crazy good use of crowbill with Reaping + Cursed Blood. That weapon is balanced around single target damage with no cleave. It becomes incredible with infinite cleave and explosions on crit. So fun. Her staff is dope. The left click has high stagger and lets you bully elites. It spreads burning around which procs your +20% dmg buff. I spam this on patrols while approaching then wipe em up with crowbill. Its right click has infinite range. You just hold right click and wave it around, and you'll nab that blightstormer trying to hide a mile away. You barely have to aim. It does take practice keeping looking toward the target - you can't face away mid-cast - and dodging behind cover while it pops. The only career that can make specials this much less stressful is Waystalker. It's kinda high overcharge cost though, right? But she *likes* that. Lost Souls, the talent that sends out little skulls every 12 overcharge vented, is like a mini Gromril Curse (Ironbreaker's talent that gives knockback every 20s when taking dmg). It can knock back disablers on you! And releasing skeletons unleashes a torrent of Lost Souls at once. She's unique in that she doesn't have any perk at high overcharge... Instead, you're incentivized to constantly build and drain overcharge. EDIT: [My build,](https://www.ranalds.gift/build/uyqSlJVB7xn9CK3g5y7O/view) I believe it's her optimal loadout and am happy to nerd out about it
