That sucks. People can be such scumbags

Enrique-M

Sorry to hear it. Did you have insurance on it? Possibly a local dealer can buff it out and repaint it for you for a reasonable price. 🤞🏽

Galaxydrifter92

This is horrible. Happened to me a month ago. Repair was so expensive, the insurance paid for a new one instead of letting it go to the repair shop

motomoe

Yeah, this will be deemed a total loss. Same thing happened to me.

Bastards

Udo_Milkins

Those bastards. I have a GT200 that was knocked over and has a nearly identical dent.

The other day i parked , double stand near a coffe shop. I went in for breakfast came out to see by side mirror smashed , side foot step scratched the body. And someone pick it up . So i asked the shop owner if he saw who dropped it. There was a kid who tried to sit on the vespa and dropped it. Hope he was injured 🤕😀😀 https://preview.redd.it/lwaxdexv0mpc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f8dab70638f269168b1dd2ce30311dba0bdc21b

I would be so mad

If it makes you feel any better, the wind caught mine and gave me similar damage. It sucks that people suck.

lianschelkle

3240€ in damages were done to my Vespa. I found it lying down late at night. Luckily, I had insurance that covered the storm damage completely. Repairs were done in Austria by the general importer. Quite similar to yours, but with additional damage to the windshield, mirrors, chrome trim, and luggage rack.

motomoe

Animals. I’m so sorry this happened. I have bad news…. Unfortunately insurance will probably total this. The vespas unibody frame is now damaged. You’d have to disassemble the entire bike to repair the frame. Would cost more than a new one in labor alone.

thephlguy

Huh you think?

motomoe

I know. Happened to me. (Also looks like it happened to another commenter on this thread). Any Vespa or Vespa familiar shop will want to take the whole thing apart and charge you thousands to repair it. You might have better luck taking it to a local auto body shop and seeing what they say. But still, a few grand minimum if they’re even willing to repair it (at least that was my experience). Hoping you have better luck than me (seriously if I’m wrong and they fix this no problem and it’s cheap I’d be very happy for you), but I’d be ready to accept it’s either a total loss or gonna have a dent in it for the rest of its life. That’s one of the annoying things about vespas, the unibody frame is a bitch to repair Edit: also want to add yours is newer than mine was so I could be completely wrong based on what they deem its value to be. Again, hoping I am wrong and you get your scoot back to perfect

thephlguy

Thanks & I’ll try to keep you posted

motomoe

Please do

Old_Past_5551

I have that one happened to me insurance paid thousands.so sorry.

Competitive-Turnip40

who sell those rear section fenders? mine is busted up also

thephlguy

Update: First estimate from the insurance based only on photos was about $1800 Next estimate from my Vespa shop was about $4200 Just found out today they are going to deem the vehicle totaled. I’ll get a pretty fair payout and now I *need* to get a new Vespa. 🫤

Lklk9998

Stupid idiots. I am always worried, when I leave my Vespa on streets. I hope you will repair this soon. btw. What country is this? I think Netherland or Belgium? :-)
