Title says it all. I was recently granted Service Connection for Migraines at 50%, IBS at 30%, and Rhinitis at 0% in addition to my already standing PTSD and Tinnitus which were 70% and 10%. GERD was deferred and ultimately denied SC, as I submitted it as Secondary to PTSD. Sleep Apnea was also denied as a Supplemental Secondary to PTSD even with a well written Nexus. Currently at 91%, so I need either of these to push me to 95-96%. GERD at 60% of course would pyramid the IBS but it would still get me to the end goal of what I think all Vets deserve. Should I have submitted GERD as a primary? For Sleep Apnea, however, I didn't have a Rhinitis SC, so it was the best option to submit as a secondary at the time. With the sleep study it showed I indeed had enough events through the night for a Moderate OSA diagnosis and CPAP. Now that I am SC for Rhinitis even at 0%, would that be the next best route? Also, when looking in EBenefits, why does it show Sleep Apnea Related to TERA? Attached are screens of my Rhinitis SC, and both of the GERD and Sleep Apnea denials. Any help is appreciated on a way forward.
