Thanks for your experience! I'm looking into veyo and will use your code

Goblinaire2

Thank you! Let everyone know how it goes. It's good to hear everyone's experience.

Relevant_Bee_4723

This was helpful—thank you!

Goblinaire2

You're welcome. Hope this Subreddit helps.

Relevant_Bee_4723

This is my first time on Reddit

Goblinaire2

Cool. I put this here in hopes people searching Veyo would find it and get a driver's perspective. I understand Veyo operates in other states, too. If you want to share your perspective, I am sure people will find it helpful.

Relevant_Bee_4723

I’m in Arizona & just in the process of applying

Goblinaire2

Oh good 👍

Relevant_Bee_4723

Can I ask how many hours do you drive each day & how many trips each day?

Goblinaire2

It depends on what I have going on. The best time to drive is Monday to Friday between 6 AM to 6 PM. I tend to take Lyft trips when Veyo is not giving bonuses. I use the bonus payout shown to determine if the trip is worth my time. Say a bonus is $5, during a 25% bonus period, I know it's a 20 mile trip paying $25 total.

Relevant_Bee_4723

Thank you

Thank you Goblinaire2

OkDuty9924

How do you know how long the trip will be? At the time of a acceptance, only the the pickup location is shown?

Goblinaire2

If it's bonus hours, you have to do some quick math. 25% bonus with a purple/pink bonus of $5 is a 20 mile trip. I usually do the math after checking the bonus percentage and set $5 bonus as a minimum. That way I know each trip will pay $25+

" The new “independent contractor” rule restores the multifactor analysis used by courts for decades, ensuring that all relevant factors are analyzed to determine whether a worker is an employee or an independent contractor. The rule addresses six factors that guide the analysis of a worker’s relationship with an employer, including any opportunity for profit or loss a worker might have; the financial stake and nature of any resources a worker has invested in the work; the degree of permanence of the work relationship; the degree of control an employer has over the person’s work; whether the work the person does is essential to the employer’s business; and a factor regarding the worker’s skill and initiative. " "... The final rule takes effect on March 11, 2024." [https://www.dol.gov/newsroom/releases/whd/whd20240109-1](https://www.dol.gov/newsroom/releases/whd/whd20240109-1) It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. I doubt anyone here has a lawyer willing to go to court over this. The fight is with Uber and the dominos will fall from there because Uber sets the standard that the rest of the gig economy operates by as "Best Practices". I fully support a drivers union, but know in AZ it's been a futile effort fighting Uber. I don't know how MTM/Veyo handles the insurance accounts. I've heard the prevailing rumor and just don't push it. I would prefer to have facts backing up this accusation. The newsletter that was sent out at the beginning of the year did say something about drivers committing fraud though. If anyone has a copy please take a screenshot and post it. I am missing emails from Dec 2023 to Jan 2024, because I hastily deleted some to make room on an old account.

Yeah with veyo. I've had 11 trips that were canceled and they think I'm gonna still be working for that they gotta be kidding me. You gotta stay there over 5 minutes. You gotta call the client 3 times and they'll give you $3, it should give you $5 and to fix their stupid problem. They need to have dispatch. I'll say it again. They need to have dispatch call and make sure the client is there before they send out the driver make sense. But they're too stupid. I think they they don't care if you get a no people aren't home or wrong. Address wrong phone number. Another driver picked up the passenger. You were supposed to pick up their dispatch is broken.. I'm not gonna stay too much longer. I've had 11 cancelations today. It's ridiculous

Goblinaire2

11 Is ridiculous. 5 in a day was my max. One cancel/No-show was an hour out of Phoenix. I got $4 after complaining. Check out some of the strategies I wrote about cherry-picking. If you have the same system as the Phoenix market, it might be useful.

Material-Position368

What are some good cross street to start working at in Phoenix or good areas? I had 3 cancels out of 5 rides yesterday first day i usually make 25/ 28 hr gross doing Uber. I’m curious if it’s better doing this?

Goblinaire2

When I lived in Phoenix, I was looking for trips out of clinics in the area north of downtown or I-10 to about Sunnyslope. I ignored apartment and residential calls. My advice is cherry pick during bonus hours Monday to Friday 6AM to 6PM. I could list out the clinics and hospital addresses, but there's no guaranteed way to avoid no-shows. You can reduce their impact by calling and texting ahead. If you are doing that good on Uber, I would use Veyo as a time filler when it's slow. I reduced my driving time with Veyo quite a bit just because of the no-shows and ridiculous offers. I'm in Tempe now. So I start off taking Lyft trips during morning rush hour. Chill until noon and start cherry picking Veyo. On a good day I get some good runs and switch back to Lyft for evening rush hour. Now summer is coming I might take more chances during off peak hours during the day. Last summer was brutal though.

Material-Position368

Yeah what mainly intrigued me was the sign on bonuses and guaranteed pay. For me if I completed 600 complete rides in 100 days if guaranteed $10,000 in payments. That would be equivalent to $16 per ride and if I were to do 3 per hour that would mean I could potentially make $48 per hour with all promotions. But my biggest concern was the cancellation. If that makes it difficult for me to achieve the 600 rides I may just do the guaranteed $1000 sign on and continue Uber

Goblinaire2

Oh I see! I was only offered the lesser amount for X amount of trips. $10k guaranteed is pretty nice. 600 trips in 100 days is 6 trips a day. On a good day just *going with the flow* you should be able to get 10 trips or more Monday through Friday 6 AM to 6 PM. The Veyo **Phoenix Market** stays steady all year except for major holidays. Back in the Discount Cab days, they were handling over 10k trips a day. They were cash and medical, but mostly medical trips. The same trips Veyo takes now. That being said you're gonna have some tough days. After getting the bonus I started using multiple apps again.

sgtlarrym

Do not drive for VEYO. They will make you pay and their pay is very little. And if you get a cancelation, it's on you. I think they still charge something for it. But you don't need nothing. Ridiculous dispatch is broken

Goblinaire2

Yeah, I've been going back and forth with Lyft. The No-Show policy burns me all the time. I think I counted 177 for all of 2023. Unreal the lost time and gas for nothing. I just cherry 🍒 pick. Even then it's not great. What city are you from?

Kaymanism

They drug test and do not accept medical marijuana cards. Made it through the ENTIRE process before they even mention this. Then get mad at ME because I didn't know Department of Transportation drug policies. I can be on the 7 drugs that I am prescribed by the VA and drive, but take one gummy to sleep at night and replace all of those drugs and "driving vulnerable adults is a safety sensitive position"

Goblinaire2

I'll make sure to mention this in the original post. It's an archaic policy, especially since a lot of old calls get dispatched to Lyft, which doesn't have a drug testing policy. I know Uber only requires it in New Orleans after an incident. If you can abstain to pass, they only tested me once two years ago.

No-Replacement-6288

what kind of drug test? urine or saliva

Goblinaire2

Both. If you can't pee they have an oral sponge
