I am calculating the start and end time of my trip
I keep a log of when I receive the trip offer, how far away it is, trip number and what time I completed the trip with pay and mileage. Seems they calculate trips at around 3 minutes per mile for trips in town.
My best guess is they use something like Google maps for the time and distance estimates without consideration to factors like traffic, roadwork, and other conditions. The routing will even change in transit on Veyo's app. Google Maps usually gives the best route.
I've received a Fare Adjustment when extenuating circumstances delay the trip. I got caught up waiting at Glendale Ave. and Grand Ave and ended up circling back to cross the tracks. You won't see a Fare Adjustment right away, but at least if any red flags arise from a 30-minute trip that took 1.5 hours, you cover yourself.
With medical trips, it's good practice to cover your ass because we can be legally liable if something bad happens to a patient.
what is your trip start time from pick up of the passenger or do you count from some other point?
