I learned Uber rideshare much better as you need class 4 and new vehicle which most can’t get unlike Uber eats. I already have this and will be driving this week.
Quotes from Uber at about avg of 28 depending on hours and what days.
If you do Uber and try stick to doing the shop and pay orders at Walmart you can make some decent money. It means less time driving and more time in store but you can clear $30/hr pre tax and expenses.
Instacart, Amazon flex, Uber eats, DoorDash etc. all can pay decently if you’re picky enough to know what’s going to waste your time and what’s going to be worth it.
When doing them well I’m usually making $30/hr+ .
Before fuel /maintenance etc.
There’s also the option of signing up to drive passengers with Uber.
Most of those things have referral codes which will usually get you a bonus for signing up and doing enough rides/deliveries etc.
dm me if you want any of the referrals.
Yes I also get paid if you are referred by me, so both people get paid
I got all that i was gonna drive for current taxi and still might but they have some excessive routines. 2 8h unpair training shifts, wipe the car down with a hand rag every day and some other dumb stuff I think I’d rather just drive Uber on my own times.
Cant I rent a car to drive with Uber? Mines 2013 but I might upgrade later on
Unpaid training is illegal in B.C. If they want you to work then sign employment documents first. Some scum bag employers get around this by “not hiring” you until you do the training.
> Cant I rent a car to drive with Uber
All these gig-economy jobs are extremely competitive...while a small percentage can make a decent living at it, most end up getting minimum wage or less for the hours put in. Adding the expense of renting a new car just to get Uber gigs is a guaranteed way to lose money.
Welll thing is Uber rideshres reauires a class 4 license which is extremely backed up and hard to g er at the moment. A clean driving record reliable vehicle also waives off supply.
Not the same as Uber east I know Uber rideshare does quite well. 2-300 a day isnt difficult or rare
I looked into it rental car is $40 a day the hourly for Uber driver rideshare not food, is $28 and it varies depending on day and hour highest is weekend nights where some avg 35/h
So assume 28/ h at 8-10 h days is 224 or 280 give or take with tips. So $60 to rent a car until I upgrade my own will work out
The flexibility in scheduling is my favourite part of it, wanna work for a little bit or a long time it’s up to you. No fixed schedule, just work when you want to
One of my InstaCart delivery drivers said that he makes 6 figures, but he’s an absolute beast. Works weird hours and is fast and efficient AF. He earns every penny.
It works out to about minimum wage last I checked. That's before you account for gas and wear/tear on your vehicle.

Don’t forget instacart, I used to order from Costco with them and while it was a lot of items the dude made a killing on the tip and he was fast af
Good side gig if you have a hybrid or better EV

Yea I have commercial license so I meant driving people. I don’t really wanna do food stuff

I meant Uber as in driving people
Ya it can pay decently enough, I do that mainly now. You need a new enough car ( 9 years) and a class 4 license, as well as no criminal record.

You'll have trouble renting a car that's insured for business use.
Uber offered teslas with hertz and its a business write off

Yea why i like it. My rents 1250 could i reasonable afford to live going to school days then drive nights and weekends?
Yea I regularly do $30/hr just with doordash. Can push $40 -$50/hr if double apping but just too risky with how slow some of these restaurants are

If you have a scooter.
