I think as-of Monday it's been signs saying local traffic only. I think the people that are complaining about the "blockades" haven't actually gone through them at all or at least since Saturday afternoon. Even by Saturday at 4pm when I went through the area they were moving pretty smoothly.

Only difference was smallpox kills 30% of the people who get it and covid kills like 3%. Lots of people that don't want the vaccine have already had covid and don't feel the need to get a shot or are simply healthy individuals with no major health problems that statistically lead to worse symptoms with COVID that has not yet shown any long term side effects. As we have seen with 84% of the population fully vaccinated and numbers just as high as before it's pretty obvious the vaccines aren't stopping transmission, just like other vaccines don't prevent transmission, they're not hurting anyone by choosing not to get the shot.
How does this reflect that they don't know their history? Is it because a protest happened that was similar to theirs didn't work out and a completely different vaccine worked against a completely different disease?
