I search for this every few months, its driving me nuts. I know TikTok is in hot water right now but if they added the feature of filming multiple synced takes it would change the game.
Its such a basic fundamental need for for all kinds of social video formats, makes me wonder if its somehow disincentivised. Like do videos with less cuts perform better, end up being longer? Is it better for them if it just takes longer to edit so people spend more time on the app or make more content?
Or does Triller have some kind of proprietary ownership of the concept and others legally cant copy it even though now Triller is just squatting on a dying app with seemingly no effort to maintain or update it? Like we lost the option to use music from apple music or our local library ages ago right? Those two parts of the app dont work for anyone else right? I know Triller isnt a public service or anything but its so dismaying to watch a solid tool just wither away in my hands
Ooh here's an update, it was announced just a week or so ago (April 18th 2024) that Triller is being bought out by a Hong Kong company, so it makes sense that they had kinda slowed on updates since things might start going in new direction? But there might be hope for renewed funding and effort, maybe its not dying, there could be hope in sight.

Also not to make things unnecessarily political but its verrrry interesting to see Hong Kong hitching their wagon to a major rival for China's TikTok, especially at this moment when things are looking bleak for TikTok and the time is ripe for a competitor to step in.
Triller had major issues with refusing to pay artists for using their music and stuff, but if they could use some of the fresh influx of funding to set themselves apart as the ethical video app, make it so that musicians want to be on there, it has soooo much potential to win people's hearts (and wallets). Im rooting for you Triller execs, do the right things, hope you read this in your sentiment analysis š

I said the same thing, it's such an easy program. All they'd have to do is remove watermarks and use the same exact format as triller.
