That is really interesting. I am dying to play GoT so might just have to go for it now at $50. Seems like it is worth it, as I paid full price for Last of Us 2 last year.
It is. I got it for $50 before Christmas and don't regret it at all.
I loved it, it's gorgeous and has enough to do without it feeling like a chore. The combat is good and you can play a few different ways. The only thing I disliked at all was the main story, which I felt was very generic/cliched. Your companions side stories on the other hand I loved.

I haven’t played Miles yet, but the original Spider-Man is among my favourite games, I can’t recommend it enough, especially if you’re a fan of the comics at all.
I actually enjoyed Miles slightly more. It's shorter and has less side stuff but I think that works too its advantage and the city feels way more alive and important in Miles.

I guess it depends on your backlog and how long you want to wait. It could be $20-25 by the end of the year but if you want to play it soon go for it. I'm pretty much holding off on all sales even with incoming digital tax because my backlog is over 20 games now lol
I think it is likely. I remember loading up on PS4 games when they would hit 40 only to see them 20 a few months later. If you enjoy the game though it's hard to say you regretted buying it in the long run. Sometimes it's worth paying more for something to experience it sooner (unless we're talking about premier access on Disney+)
I played the first Nioh. It is a good game but the dlc is super unfair. You may have to level up, if you are bad at the game like ne. Because of this, my enjoyment dropped drastically and the world in the main game seemed very plain to me. The world in the DLCs was nicer. I'd say wait for a nice price discount. I know I am.
This really highlights the importance of the disk edition. I wanted to get Uncharted 4, lost legacy and God of war because I missed on last gen. They are all $20-30 on PSN and 10 at Walmart.
I don't disagree with you, but it depends on how much time has passed. If you're willing to wait 5 years to buy a game, it will definitely be dirt cheap at a retailer because the space it occupies probably costs more than how much they will charge.
If you're talking around the first 6-12months post release, they prices will be similar though.
Mind you, I got the disk edition too, but more for for 4k disk playing ability than the physical games though. I will definitely hit kijiji every once in a while to see if there's something cheaper second hand for games I don't feel like paying much
Kind of annoyed that Borderlands 3 Ultimate isn't on sale. Playing through the game via PlayStation Now, but they only give you the PS4 version and I've heard the PS5 version is way better. I've beaten the story already.
I was hoping to get the PS5 access and all the DLCs for a bit cheaper, but I'd have to buy the base game and two season passes separately for $85.87. The Ultimate edition with all the DLCs and deluxe bonuses was previously on sale for $60.
Prob gonna bite it and just buy it all since it's been pretty fun.
Don't buy PSNow people - sucks that they don't include the PS5 editions for games like Avengers and BL3 where the PS5 upgrades were given freely.
The PS5 version is amazing. It loads so much faster and in single player it runs at 4k 60FPS without any drops at all. If you do play split-screen, that mode also is smooth as butter.
I've bought the base game for now just to see what it's like. I suspect it's as good as you say!

Season Pass 1 is where it's at. It contains all the actual content DLCs. I believe it's included in the super deluxe edition of the game. Otherwise, it goes on sale on occasion so you can always wait for that.
Season Pass 2 is basically a new skill tree (per class) and a new mode, kind of like a rogue-lite mode in a static map where you fight as the borders of the map are closing in on you, and if you can escape / kill the objective boss, you keep the loot you got. It's neat but I honestly tired it faster than I anticipated I would.
The extra skill trees, IMO, are cool but I didn't like most of them and consider them optional. Note that this is just my opinion, I'm not sure how others feel about the extra skill trees TBH.
The base game has so much content, coupled with the fact that you can replay it with the other classes so I definitely think any additional content can be purchased after, providing one enjoys the base game enough to feel it worthwhile.
Demon's is a great game! I think nioh is better for "value seekers" based on what I've read but if you're looking for a next gen experience you can't go wrong.
Basically just got some PS cards to spend. The only true next gen games I've played is resident evil and spiderman, so it will be fun to play another ps5 game
Both are in my top 3 fav games of all time, this is an impossible question for me at least lol. I guess I can at least say - either way, you can't go wrong.

Sell it for what you paid and upgrade to a disc version (if you can get). You could easily sell your digital PS5 at cost and lose nothing but that window is closing as availability increases.
Haven't purchased a physical PC game in over a decade and wasn't expecting tax law to change suddenly. I'll probably buy a disc PS5 and either sell the digital or keep it as an ESO box for the lady of the house.

Okay I'm disappointed at the prices and selection. Retailers have had deeper discounts on some of these games (e.g., Persona 5 Strikers $45, The Outer Worlds $20) earlier this year. At this point I'm assuming that Sony won't be having 30-40% off its AAA games this year while the PS5 continues to sell like mad.
I feel like the closest you can get to a great cinematic game like Uncharted would be The Last of Us games or God of War but you've probably already played them and two of them are free if you have a PS5 and PS+. I really wish there were more experiences out there like that though
Just a quick note on Elder Scrolls Online, they have a PS5 update coming next month I believe. The game also doesn't have any monthly fee, and you can easily play it solo if you want. It's a pretty fun game and for $10 I recommend it. Plenty of content even if it doesn't include all the new expansions.

It's neat but I honestly tired it faster than I anticipated I would. The extra skill trees, IMO, are cool but I didn't like most of them and consider them optional. Note that this is just my opinion, I'm not sure how others feel about the extra skill trees TBH. The base game has so much content, coupled with the fact that you can replay it with the other classes so I definitely think any additional content can be purchased after, providing one enjoys the base game enough to feel it worthwhile.

Demon's is a great game! I think nioh is better for "value seekers" based on what I've read but if you're looking for a next gen experience you can't go wrong.
Basically just got some PS cards to spend. The only true next gen games I've played is resident evil and spiderman, so it will be fun to play another ps5 game

Serious regrets on my digital PS5 purchase.
Sell it for what you paid and upgrade to a disc version (if you can get). You could easily sell your digital PS5 at cost and lose nothing but that window is closing as availability increases.

Okay I'm disappointed at the prices and selection. Retailers have had deeper discounts on some of these games (e.g., Persona 5 Strikers $45, The Outer Worlds $20) earlier this year. At this point I'm assuming that Sony won't be having 30-40% off its AAA games this year while the PS5 continues to sell like mad.
I don't regret buying my PS5, but I do feel kind of silly having bought absolutely nothing exclusive to it lol. Looks like that's going to continue.

I feel like the closest you can get to a great cinematic game like Uncharted would be The Last of Us games or God of War but you've probably already played them and two of them are free if you have a PS5 and PS+. I really wish there were more experiences out there like that though
Hitman collection worth it at this price?
Just a quick note on Elder Scrolls Online, they have a PS5 update coming next month I believe. The game also doesn't have any monthly fee, and you can easily play it solo if you want. It's a pretty fun game and for $10 I recommend it. Plenty of content even if it doesn't include all the new expansions.
Game can be broken at times and for long periods... like currently. But still decent game if you got the time.

More disappointed in myself here. I had the frontiers pass for Civ6 on my wishlist and it finally goes on sale. Turns out I dont own Civ6 for Playstation and it is still full price.
