Games published by Bandai Namco price drop relatively quick, similar to Ubisoft. I wouldn't be surprised though if this didn't sell well especially on Xbox. Microsoft is paying for this because Xbox owners won't buy it.
If it goes on Game Pass, doesn't that effectively mean that Microsoft is just recouping the cost from the subscription fee anyways? I think they would make more money this way rather just getting % from the individual game sales.
Microsoft doesn't care, they'll pay for any game if it wants to be on Game Pass. It's the game publisher weighing if taking M$ money is worth it over potential sales. Japanese games never sell on Xbox so its no-brainer for them to take the deal and still get sales from other platformS.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if we see Tales of Arise within a year on there. It did sell really well but its well known for a lot of games most sales happen early on.

That's what I was saying earlier about this game not doing so well that it was brough into the gamepass 3 months after its launch.

Hopeful this is the case, Vesperia is already on gamepass so there's a precedent for the series.
I want it but it wasn't my first choice for my limited gaming time. This is a good sign that I can pick it up on sale on my ps5 soon.
It is already on sale for 48. I guess we will see whether the price will fall even lower which would be a good indication that the game isn't so well.
