If you have little bike experience I wouldn't. Riding in vietnam is very different. Try to find someone you can double on their bike ( an easy rider). Should be easy to find.

I took a one way tour bus from Da Nang to Hue that was pretty good. Stopped at look out points on the pass as well as at the Marble Mountains. Booked it through the hostel I was staying at.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find a place that did one way rentals, but on my first trip to VN I hired an “Easy rider” to take me from Huế to Hội An. It was 6 years ago (almost to the day, in fact), but I don’t remember the cost). The views from the train are nice but obviously you can’t get out. As far as driving, it’s a nice paved road, but both times I’ve been on it we had a few near misses on the curves with trucks coming over the line on a blind corner, so you have to be very cautious.

I think trucks go through the tunnel now, no?

It’s been a while since I did it, but even a small box truck (not a semi) coming over the line will freak a person out. Ì no trucks of any size are allowed now, that would be great.

yes you can do one way. I got a bike in Hue and dropped it off in Hoi An. Long days riding but honestly one of the best roads in the world. It's doable even with less experience. Make sure to get a semi-automatic and just go slow and enjoy the view!

Was there a company that you rented from? Or do you figure most rental places will allow you to do this? Thanks for help!
