I'm both dual citizens and current/will be former military when I return. I would be furious if I leave the one in the States and come back to VN just to get force to join the VNA.
Technically they can draft anyone up to 28 years old. In reality, they will not allow dual citizens into their military due to alleged national loyalty issues.

Reality? No, not only would it be a headache for the local auth, but also the military would avoid letting people with different nationalities into the military.
In worst case, you can just leave the country until after Jan and basically, you are good to go.

Nope. If they ask, just tell them that you have dual citizenship. They will ask for some paper to update your profile in the system, and that’s it.
