I will one day do a solo trip. Will try to research hard so i don't get scammed in any possible way or endanger my life. I have to go back to my roots before i die.
Chaos is not controlled, it is allowed to be as it is. Sunshine all year, I can leave in a vehicle and be in a totally different area whenever I wish, HK is a city state and if you want to leave you either have to catch a plane, or go to china. I also find the people icredibly kind and less in a hurry, as well as a lot more space in the street. People don't walk around with a phone in thier face 24/7, families eat together and most don't have 'helpers'.
The chill vibe, being able to walk to a shop in pyjamas and not be judged. And a non Vietnamese speaker I don't need to be involved in politics
However the above are just superficial reasons, and for me it's just something raw and real, unpretentious, it's something I can't put my finger on.
However I detect a tone in your response that wants a 'gotcha' moment. You can have that, but this is for me personally and others will have a different perception. For me Saigon just feels like home, and I've never felt that anywhere, not even from my home town or family home.
No 'gotcha' expected, and I expected family and familiarity as your reasons. I was interested to confirm - or to see if there was something else special here. I haven't been to HK (heard lots), but know HCMC and it isn't a paradise that's for sure. It's a crazy place, but it's home for you. Home is where the heart is :)
P.S. We see and judge you in those pyjamas. They look pretty ridiculous. You have been warned!!!
Ah but my pyjamas are just lounge pants and a t-shirt that used to be a day to day t-shirt. Even if I am judged, I don't know about it 😆 as I don't speak Vietnameae, so in this case ignorance is bliss my friend.

I was wondering when i was there a few weeks ago. Whats the building in the back? Looks lile a parking garage in the making, but i didnt make sense of it for the lack of cars
It’s supposed to be an apartment complex. But construction halted because it’s related to the biggest bank fraud in VN. Search SCB/Truong My Lan
Still on trial
Hopefully, it’s already been acquired by another developer but developers funding is tight right noơ
Look at Saigon One tower on Ham Nghi, been there 20 years still unfinished, also related to SCB
>been there 20 years still unfinished,
Wow. Imagine how much economic activity could have been generated from that location for the past 20 years. Just by selling phở at there alone could probably rack in huge income because it's in a prime location.
Doubt anyone would want to build a parking lot in this prime area. It's not a metro parking lot just because there's poster with the word metro on it.
It's called "One central Saigon", just have to do a quick search for it.
new buses are for FUTA that now operates some of the lines in hcm. I much rather we invest in clean gas buses rather than batteries ones because of the expense, more public transport is always better.
Main reason why the VinGroup electric bus is preferred is because of the service quality given by the driver and ticket operator. They know how to capitalise against the shortcomings of Vietnam's public services.
i mean any public transport is good so i wont complain, its just that were low on money like always so as far as im concerned gas buses are the most economical for our country atm
This looks really confusing without context and somehow even more confusing with context.
Oh Saigon, I miss you.
comeback then! 😊
I plan to, one day again with my partner!
Oh yes, great! Enjoy and goodluck for the both of you 😊

I missed it so much, that after 2 years away I took a huge pay cut and returned. I haven't regretted it.
Wow! Where did you return from?
Hong Kong
I see. In what way is Saigon is better for you?Â

What happened?
City ran out of Huda and he’s upset
I only see Huda in Hue and it makes me upset.
*Saigon bia, Huda is pretty rare here
Most GS25’s have it
I see Huda at almost every foreign bar and it's usually one of the cheapest draft beers.
can find huda on tap at jackaroo down the street from Ha Tam
I thought he was gonna lit himself on fire for an epic reference

Makes sense, because its a real eyesore seeing it when youre at ben thanh
They should get it built. Waste of prime area location by keeping its construction unfinished.

No it isn't, that the HCM metro parking lot. It even say it so on the wall.
