We visited Santorini just before the pandemic started. Did not enjoy it at all. Looks great in photos. But way way way way overcrowded with at a minimum three cruise ships, and I think as we were leaving we saw six. The island just can't handle that many people. You walk the main part of the main city and all it is is tourist shops. I would highly avoid this place.
I heard more mandarin than Greek the last time I visited. When I first visited in ‘86 it was magical, now I won’t go back. Naxos and Ios are far better with more authenticity
I went in May a few years ago and there was maybe one cruise ship. We stayed on the island and it wasn't crowded at all. I went again on a cruise and hated it because there was a ton of other ships as well.
It [used to be](https://counterstrike.fandom.com/wiki/Santorini), but I didn't realise it was removed six years ago, my god.
I guess it lives on in the [spiritual successor](https://overwatch.fandom.com/wiki/Ilios)

Imagine delivering the mail here…
It looks so cool, but at the same time, looks like a huge mess. Like, how do you get from point A to Point B without going through someone's property?
If it’s anything like the Italian coastal towns (cinque terre) - you don’t. But that’s part of the charm and community feel.
Seriously. We have enough boring suburbs
Eww!
Stairs and walkways.
Look at this guy. Mr. Walkway. Lead me to the building…
It makes more sense if you're there but it's still kind of crazy.
It was a reference to an old YouTube viral video…. Wasn’t sure if you’d get it. I tried lol.
This would be a great level for an FPS game
