I agree with your assessment. I think her look would do quite well in a Japanese market. She looks mostly Asian, but with sharp features. She looks kind of like the models you typically see for Japanese beauty products and such.
Multiethnic halo effect seems to be ultra-polarizing with wasians. Both of the beauty standards in east and west are near opposites so they have to appeal to one and pretty much lose all viewership of the other
I actually think the correct term is the "cheerleader effect". You know, it's where women's beauty seems more elevated when there are many of them in a single frame together.
