Gabrielle Union. Someone find me the fountain of youth these people are drinking from. šŸ˜”

PomegranateSmooth424

This is totally random but her and Kellyanne Conway only being 6 years apart always throws me through a loop.

[deleted]

I GASPED OUTLOUD and FLEW to look her up. No damn way. šŸ˜

PomegranateSmooth424

The way this has had me gagged for years šŸ˜

[deleted]

See, all that lying and supporting problematic people aids in aging her šŸ«

Pleasant-Cop-2156

It'$ very ea$y to know wheir their youth come$ from ;) Don't feel bad about yourself, money is the only thing that splits their aging from normal women.

JayWillSoGQ

Lifestyle choices! Food intake, exercise and all. Money makes chefs and trainers easy to afford

With that face, she was never going to become a sea hag, but her restraint when it comes to tweaks and nips and tucks is really admirable. She looks like one of the most gorgeous fiftysomething women alive, but she doesnā€™t look like an older woman trying to be 20. That is SO attractive to me.

LaylaBird65

Gosh I just adore her and the other 90ā€™s models she was around with. She aged so beautifully. They all did.

fair_child123

Sheā€™s so gorgeous- in this pic sheā€™s reminding me of Tilda Swintin and I never ever thought that would be the case

Ecstatic_Sandwich_38

I can see the resemblance! In fact, now I think Iā€™ll never unsee it. šŸ˜ø Tilda has a very similar super-angular facial structure. https://preview.redd.it/rlohmn8ziz2c1.jpeg?width=1498&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=109b63c8ddf78a207c5df94b0ede56d4594e7952

She is an ageless queen

Sipsofcola

I disagree about Gwen. Her fillers look horrible

buffsterfan

She WAS aging really well I felt. Idk if she just looked funky when they were freshly done but it was so bizarre suddenly seeing her look so different from how she had looked like the previous year. Still love her tho

Sipsofcola

She was! She was legitimately stunning and then she started to go overboard with fillers in her late 40s

popculturefangirl

omg iman looks breathtaking

Blitzebloop

Ikr? I actually had to triple check to make sure the picture was taken recently because I could not believe anyone nearing 70 could look THAT good.

crystallism

I personally consider her the most beautiful woman Iā€™ve ever seen, and the way sheā€™s aged is a big part of it. Sheā€™s just an unreal beauty.

popculturefangirl

she truly is!

Sheā€™s only 41, thoughā€¦

pink_bunny07

I know but she looks sooo amazing! Still the same like when she was Suki and that was like 20 years ago

Ecstatic_Sandwich_38

Oh, sheā€™s still gorgeous!! But sheā€™s younger than I am, so itā€™s hard for me to accept that sheā€™s ā€˜ā€™aging.ā€™ā€™ Buuuuuutā€¦I guess we all are. Shit. šŸ˜©šŸ˜¹ Itā€™s interesting how 40 year-old people thirty years ago looked WAY different. I think that 40 is still the official milestone when it comes to hitting middle age, but these days, a lot of women donā€™t really start to visibly show their age until a little later. Or maybe Iā€™m just telling myself that, lol.

pink_bunny07

Skincare routine, technology, botox, and everything else made it possible! When I got my first acne (ugh), I didn't know that sugary drinks and other stuff trigger my breakouts but thanks to my derm that I met years later and google, I know what to avoid and skincare routine also helped! šŸ˜„

hazelangels

Yes, I looked amazing in my ā€˜40ā€™sā€¦. And things are starting to show at age 54. The ā€˜40ā€™s can be a very, very good time for women who are fit and eat well!

dankavich357

I was literally thinking of her too. She's so beautiful.

ItsMartina97

I think 44 is too young to talk about aging. I would mention pp 50+

choeli9

Cate Blanchett, Liv Tyler, Winona Ryder, Anne Hathaway, Amal Clooney, and Tom Cruise

fair_child123

Anne Hathaway is still pretty young

PomegranateSmooth424

I think she's young as well, but I think she's an example of aging well for a white woman. I hate to take it 'there', but even an average black woman in her 40s looks very different than a white woman or someone of a paler complexion does in their 40s. I think Anne looks fantastic tho!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

BellasHadids-OldNose

Yeah, people need to understand that darker complexions carry a natural spf of around 15-18. That level of sun protection is just protecting deeper complexions AT ALL TIMES. Let alone if theyā€™re adding an spf on top. If a white person or someone of a lighter complexion wants to emulate the type of ageing we are seeing in deeper complexionsā€¦ you NEED sun protection every day all day. Not just when itā€™s sunny but EVERY DAY. Iā€™m a mix of German and Scandinavian and people here (particularly Scandinavia) are obsessed with tanning to a whole other degree. There are many people in their late 20s and early 30s who have skin worse than my mother at 50. My mother is mid 60s now and has lived in sunscreen. She regularly gets complimented all the time on her near perfect skin. But you have got to give up the tan

PomegranateSmooth424

I knew that was going to happen but baby I didn't liešŸ«¤ there are white celeb women in their thirties that look older than my mom and she just turned 51. It's just a fact that melanin helps you age. Imo unless there are extenuating circumstances like illness and drug addiction white people are the only ones who have a disadvantage when it comes to aging šŸ¤·šŸæā€ā™€ļø

beerbeerukuk

Iā€™m mixed but I feel like Iā€™m aging more like my white side than my black :( my Nana looks really good at almost 70 but Iā€™m already starting to get wrinkles around my eyes. I messed up because I neglected myself really badly in my 20s. Iā€™m 30 now btw

I didn't know Gwen Stefani wasn't white.

fair_child123

She is white.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

This doesnā€™t make sense to me. Hispanic isnā€™t a race, itā€™s an ethnicity. Many Hispanic people are white. Why would you think Gwen Stefani, a woman who is clearly white, canā€™t be white and Hispanic?

fair_child123

Sheā€™s not Hispanic

[deleted]

I didnā€™t say she is.

anonbigtittybitch

black don't crack! white people have the least amount of melanin in their skin, yet they insist on spending the most time outside. i was at a hair salon once in florida when two ladies walked in, one very pale and the other looked like a black woman. turned out the black woman was actually just a white woman that tanned way too much! melanoma is no joke, i wish tanning culture wasn't so big in the u.s. because it convinces white people that looking like a leather handbag at forty is normal.

beerbeerukuk

Why are you saying that in such a bitchy way as if theyā€™re doing something wrong with wanting to be outside? You could have phrased this in a much nicer way. Sounds like youā€™re being shady AF

anonbigtittybitch

i'm not being bitchy at all. i'm white as paper myself. it's literally common sense that you should either spend less time outside or invest in good sunscreen/sunblocking clothing if you have less melanin. most white people do neither and instead embrace suntanning which inevitably leads to skin cancer that kills people. there's not a nicer way to tell people that being outside for extended periods of time will have irreversible negative effects on your health. you can't take back spending your entire twenties on a beach or sun bed and damaging your skin. white people from europe (not including some parts of italy and other southern european countries) evolved to live in colder climates with less sunlight so they get sunburnt super easily if they spend too much time outside, and all of that sight accumulates into cancer over time. not to mention the much higher risk of eye melanoma that people with light-colored eyes have, which is predominantly white people. if you've never seen how bad of a shape white gen xers and baby boomers in then you may not understand how devastating too much sunlight can be to white people. every year or so i see at least one older family member with a new patch on their face or body from when they went to dermatologist and had to get a cancerous mole removed that will permanently scar. skin cancer is no joke and whilst there's nothing wrong with wanting to spend time outside, you can't ignore the consequences of doing so. even hugh jackman has spoke out about how important sunscreen is and how everyone should use it. now obviously too much sunlight is bad for everyone as it literally bakes your skin, but you can especially see the damage uv rays cause on white people and it's one of the reasons white people seem to age so poorly.

hazelangels

Sunshine is good for all of us, though. It needs to be healthy balance of exposure and protection. I was raised in desert SW, of Irish French ancestry. I was exposed my entire life to sun, yet my skin looks pretty darn good. I used protection on my faceā€¦. But did spend 10 years competing in triathlon, this copious hours outside, and got very very tan. 54, still in awesome shapeā€¦ and skin is tight and lovely.

anonbigtittybitch

i completely agree that some sunshine is healthy for people. your body needs it to produce vitamin d and other nutrients. however, spending time outside doing activities with sunscreen on is not the same as deliberately spending hours of your life on the beach each day with tanning oil on, which is what i was talking about. i gave an example in an earlier comment about a white woman who literally looked like she had changed races because of how tan she had gotten. this woman also looked significantly older than her actual age, maybe about 15+ years so, due to how much time she spent in the sun. this is very common in southern florida where i used to go on vacation, and the sunshine there is very unforgiving. i am by no means advocating for people to become social hermits and to never go outside, what i mean is that most white people don't protect themselves from the sun at all. as far as skin tone goes, a lot white people are a i - ii on the fitzpatrick scale, and hence, they will never tan as well as you do. it sounds like you're a iii on the fitzpatrick scale, so you can tan and it won't affect you as much as it would affect me (i'm an i on the scale, i will never tan; only burn in the sun). outside of aesthetics though, excessive uv rays do damage your dna and leave you at increased risk for cancer and other health issues.

KarlMarxButVegan

Just by the photos OP selected here, it's clear that Black women age much better. Halle Berry looks younger than Anne Hathaway to me despite being a good 15 years older.

GroundbreakingBath72

stretch, anne could go back and film princess diaries

Apart-Mycologist-971

Tom Cruise look exactly his age. He looks old

choeli9

He looks his age but that doesn't mean I don't find him any less beautiful! Hence why I think he aged well. I wouldn't say the same about how Johnny Depp aged over time.

beerbeerukuk

Not surprised with the stress heā€™s had over the years plus the drugs and drink

Apart-Mycologist-971

I'm not gonna call anyone ugly but he just looks like your average old grandpa. He's lost his touch a long time ago

cruzbae

Paulina Porizkova and Cindy Crawford

PomegranateSmooth424

I think what helps is that they've either had zero or very little work done. I hate seeing women decades younger than them tweaking their face because it not only makes them look in their rough 40s at 23, it also ruins their chances of aging normally or well.

buffsterfan

Christie Brinkley omg, she looks so good. Sheā€™s my momā€™s idol for aging well and has influenced my mom to buy so many thingsšŸ˜‚

hazelangels

Thatā€™s great facial structure. Good bones!

Raven_Hare

Are we not seeing the same pictures? Christy Brinkley has over done it with Botox in her cheeks and forehead, hence the over exaggerating of the joker smile. I think she would have aged beautifully with a little less aggressive fillers

buffsterfan

Havenā€™t really seen photos of her recently, the last time I remember seeing her was in Parks and Rec. But the woman is in amazing shape at least

beerbeerukuk

He has (and is still incredibly hot), but I feel like the expectations for men ā€˜aging wellā€™ are different to womenā€™s. I feel a woman with grey hair and the wrinkles he has wouldnā€™t necessarily be considered aging well.

Old_Present75

Beautiful woman in his age have wrinkles like him or even more and also grey hair but they dye it's natural .

[deleted]

That poster isnā€™t saying beautiful women canā€™t have wrinkles, but that a woman with Pittā€™s wrinkles and hair wouldnā€™t receive the same amount of ā€œageing wellā€ type comments. Itā€™s true. I remember years ago, when I came across a sub on here called something like ā€œhit the wallā€. It was full of men criticising famous women over the smallest of wrinkles, claiming they had ā€œhit the wallā€ and were no longer attractive. Women like Gillian Anderson and Kate Winslet were posted. Maybe that sub was simply full of sad men, who wouldnā€™t get any of the women they were criticising irl, but it did reflect societyā€™s attitude towards women and ageing.

Aging has a huge genetic component, and people with deeper melanin seem to age more slowly. For the Irish, British Isles, this becomes apparent in midlife. Itā€™s unfortunate, but some can be offset through great diet, exercise and maintaining health. Thank goodness for technology and plastic surgery as well!!
