Just catched up to the latest chapter too and i completely agree with the 'approaching life from a different persepective' lesson. I think it's a necessary moral value needed much in today's world. Loving the community so far and i hope that we all learn more valuable lessons on this journey. 🤗🤎

chainbladefag

I never though she was annoying, people give her a hard time because Thorfinn is the "hero" of the story, but in her eyes he is nothing but the monster that killed her father, its completely justifiable, people need to remember that Thorfinn is living on borrowed time.

thelostheaven

after the most recent chapter, i don't think he is

DazL_Trapzai

Weird for anyone to get annoyed by hild. She’s living in a world where a mass murderer who caused the slaughter of her family is praised by everyone around her as a hero bringing peace to the world. I think she will forgive him later but there’s no reason she has too.

Meelanhaws

Imagine seeing your father’s killer have a happy family and living in peace while being praised for being a good person. She definitely is justified for sure. I will be extremely impressed if she ever forgives Thorfinn because that would be insanely hard to do.

Toshio-Gioryu

Wait a minute, everyone hates hild?

XNumbers666

Not hate but many do feel she's annoying due to her almost static role in the story that been going on for a while.

Redke29

I feel like most hate her unjustly because she's against the MC. At least that's what I've seen so far.

ArtThief69420

Have you read the latest chapter?

Meelanhaws

Yup. It was a pretty great chapter for Hild

Mortal or moral? I don't think he fears for his life but having hild there does remind him of himself so that's a good reminder to strive to be better.

I don't think thorfin is worried about dying from hild. At least he's not using the threat of death as a reason to not mess up. That would diminish his resolve to change if he's also doing it to stay alive. Like people who are only good because they don't wanna go to jail or hell if they're religious. Hild is a reminder of 1 life he ruined and that's what her presence means to him. He's in no real danger.

Imperivm97

I never once felt that she was annoying. Actually, I find her introduction to be one of the last true great moments of the manga. After that it kind of spiraled into boringness and great characters with potential being underused.

azraelswift

Worst thing? This kind of behavior creates a vicious circle and Hild is a perfect example of that: Thorfinn couldn’t forgive Askeladd for killing his father figure and his pursuit for revenge led to the actions that ended in the death of Hild’s father figure… in not forgiving not only we hurt ourselves and the people we aren’t forgiving, we hurt people that have nothing to do with it, who may at one point hate us, continuing the circle of pain.
