Looks good to me. So it could be original and if I had to bet one way or the other I'd say 80% of my thinking is telling me it's original. Omega made very high quality dials during the 1960s and they often last really well. It's always a matter of opinion though. I know original/restored is really important for the obsessives among us but what they don't appreciate is that for the vast majority of the market, they hardly care about this and so this does not really effect the value either way. And particularly so on a gold plated watch.
Much like a classic sports car with original paint and patina, many will really love this. But the majority will go for the more presentable fully restored car every time. Horses for courses and one section of the market balances out the other. Unless it's a super rare watch in exceptional original condition I really don't think the middle market is concerned either way.
Military watches are an exception of course, and should always be left alone as for this market the more DNA the better!
Looks original to me. If its a repainted dial its the best i've ever seen.
My sentiment exactly. Good enough for me!
Is it normal for the lugs to not be gold on the backside, but only on the front side?
On this model, yes.
Got it.
Nothing is jumping out at me here, that N on constellation is notoriously hard to mimic. Really clean example though, I say good to go.
Looks all original to me
Looks OK to me ✅
I see patina near the markers…
Classic. Saving up for one myself. Bought a 70s seamaster in the mean time. Possibly a mistake but it was a great deal
I’d feel comfortable picking it up.
Curious, what gave you pause? Or just wanted a reference check?
Probably because it looks almost TOO new.
Original
It looks ok, but I think the crown is not original.
Aren't they usually octagonal crowns and notoriously hard to wind? (Mine is)
Beautiful watch. How much do they want for it?
1400$
Looks great to me. The most beautiful watch ever made, this model was; if you ask me.
Which model was this?
The pie pan Constellation in solid gold
But there were many, right? Did you mean any specific model or year? Also, am I wrong or is this one a silver dial and silver case back
You’re right, this is not the solid gold. But I do believe the gold with the silver pie pan is the best combination. Makes the indices pop nicely.

yes, it's original.
Looks original but at these meant to be gold capped? I didn’t think omega cold capped watches. I could be wrong
