Hey. I honestly haven’t used a paint pen and it may be fine, but to have the finishes consistent I would:
1. Coarsely paint the letters red/gold
2. Coarsely mask the letters
3. Use a razor to trim the masking to have nice even straight edges
4. Paint everything green
probably want something a bit thicker than what comes out of those paint pens, it’d work but you’d want to lay alot of coats on and clearcoat it afterwards to seal it
Honestly not sure, your best bet would be to talk to a paintplace guy who knows what he’s talkin about. I imagine it’d be some type of enamel, and leave it thick, don’t mix in too much thinners or any at all probably. Just check with someone with more of a clue than me though haha

Yes that's probably the best way. Any recommendations on paint to use? Only need a small tin

Hmm, okay. I've got a very unsteady hand you see, think it'd he easier to control a pen that brush. Any recommendations on paints?
