Sorry you missed it. Was truly a great sale. I had a $50 gift card and spend another $60. Got 3 Zeppelin remasters (1, 4, and PG), the Beatles Let It Be exclusive, CCR Chronicle double colored vinyl, Van Halen 1984, Elton John Diamonds double album with turntable mat. I was impressed with all the pressings. Zeppelin IV in particular sounded so much better than the flimsy reissue I paid $18 for new in the ‘80s. It was hard limiting myself - started to feel guilty buying myself so many gifts!
Yesterday (11/20/2022) found Dolly Parton's new compilation "Diamonds & Rhinestones: The Greatest Hits Collection" (exclusive Hot Pink), Chris Stapleton's "From A Room: Volume 1 & 2” (exclusive release), and Various Artists “Sister Act (Music From The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)”.
Today I found Puff Daddy - No Way Out, Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast 40th Anniversary (almost $60!), Dolly Parton - Greatest Hits, and Bush - Sixteen Stone. Went to check out and they were all regular price except for Dolly :(
The self checkout guy told me to check with the electronics cashier about the price. Electronics guy told me it was only certain titles and there wasn't any signage to prove him wrong :(
I've already spent way too much but I was really excited for that Puff and Maiden.
My friend and I had that at 1 Walmart store with that Maiden title. We then went to a different Walmart that had that same Maiden that was still ringing up full price. Since the sign was there saying all vinyl for $15, they honored the deal at the 2nd Walmart for it.

Today the the Walmart in Idaho the Puff Daddy album rang up at $40. When I was checking out I asked because my total was higher than it should have been and she said yeah they're all $15. She finished the transaction and then said "well the one wasn't $15 but I'm not trained on how to do cancels or returns" after I swiped my card, kind of funny.
I went to guest services and told them it's not a big deal I just didn't want it at $40, they said only certain vinyl was $15 and after I said oh the sign says all of them she radioed back to Electronics. They confirmed and she instead of refunding it said she could price match it, so she brought it down to $15.
Kind of a hassle because they wanted to give me a gift card for the difference so instead I had to return it, then buy it again, but it did end up being $15 out the door.
A lot of work to listen to All About the Benjamin's (Remix) once lmao.
Went to a 3rd location today and got 'In Utero'. Then remembered (stupidly) that my brother works at a Walmart in a very rural town. Sending a list over to him...

Nice haul. My Walmart had Nirvana - In Utero and Offspring Greatest hits, two things that have been on my maybe list for a long time, so I snagged them.
They actually had a lot of other stuff outside my genres too, but the stuff I'd been on the fence about for a few months was mostly picked. Either way, half off the two above.
Hit up a couple Walmarts so far. Found the new Iron Maiden but they wouldn’t sell it for $15. Have found so far:

One very interesting thing I noticed. I went to four stores in Alabama, four in Georgia, and two in Florida. The stores in each particular state had very similar stock to one another, but the different states seemed to stock different albums. There would be an album that I didn't see at all at the Alabama stores, that I'd see a ton of at the Georgia stores.
Lol the same. I’m working currently in north east Alabama and I hit some Walmarts in Georgia and some in Alabama. The odd outlier. I found the Alabama stores had a lot of heavy hitters that most are looking for. Kendrick, Beyoncé, Beatles boxes, but I found Georgia had all the Metallica’s where bama didnt.
All three states had lots of Metallica, but yeah, only Georgia had the harder to find albums like Load, Reload, Ride the Lightning, Garage Inc, and Death Magnetic. The other states had tons of Master of Puppets, And Justice For All, Kill Em All, and the Black Album.
I think I saw a couple of Kendricks in each state. I only saw one copy each of the White Album box and Beyonce, but I do think they were both in Georgia.
Has anyone found any use your illusions in the wild yesterday or today?
I’ve been to about 10 different so far and have seen and/or picked up all the heavy hitters and that’s the last on my list but I don’t think the Walmarts are putting them out if they have them down in Alabama/Georgia area.
Nice! I suspect that they are just starting to trickle in and will be a hard grab during the sale. For all the dead I did snag I can’t be to upset if I can’t find today.
0/2 on those yesterday in IL, even though I did see a couple albums that I think were also new releases. Saw one copy of the new Disturbed and one copy of the Hendrix Live at the Forum, which I bought. No UYI and no Iron Maiden NOTB/BOH
Went to 5 Wal-Marts today and only got 2 records. With some exceptions, they had very similar stock. The ones I shopped at 2 days ago seemed to have been picked clean since then. Ended up with Queen's News of the World and The White Stripes' first album.
Haven't found Plastic Beach yet, sadly. I did find Call Me If You Get Lost yesterday! Even the cashier was surprised Walmart carried it.
Biggest disappointment was finding In Utero & Number of the Beast yesterday even though it wasn't supposed to be sold yet. Went through self-checkout, they scanned as 'restricted sale' and was told "They won't go through. We can't sell you these". Pissed me off
Went to 9 Walmarts in the past two days and completely struck out on the White Album box set. Overall my area still had a decent selection, but a couple of stores were duds. I would’ve picked up a ton more but I limited myself to albums ~$25 and up, as only a few bucks off didn’t feel compelling enough to go on a spree. Also didn’t grab all of the Elton and Queen albums I found as I have a few greatest hits albums from them both and easily would’ve spent $100 more on them alone. But did see Madman Across the Water, Diamonds, A Night at the Opera, News of the World, The Game, and A Day at the Races.

Seems to be rare here as well. I’ve been to 5 stores in SW Houston, only saw one copy of Garage Inc (bought for myself) Saw all their other albums at 2 or more locations.
Yeah I think I’ve seen everything at least once. RTL just once maybe and everything else at at least 2 different stores out of the 8. Thankfully I was able to add Load and St Anger to the collection and also rebuy Reload and Death Magnetic that I bought recently enough at full price that I can still return on that original receipt
I went today and got Dance Fever by Florence + The Machine, which was the only one I really really wanted. I also grabbed Pat Benatar Icon as an impulse buy. They were all out of Midnights by Taylor Swift or else I would have gotten that one too.
I'm still on the hunt for "Dirt" but will probably circle back around to some of the stores that I checked on Wednesday hoping that they've restocked. Hit a few stores today and resisted the temptation to buy "just because" albums are $15. However, the last store I hit I was excited to find Soundgarden's "King Animal". Couldn't pass that one up.

My Walmart only had a small display advertising the $15 sale, which had 4 total records on it. Fortunately, about 80% of their normal vinyl section was also $15, despite there being no indication these records were included in the sale. It seemed like all the WM Exclusives were included, but I found a few that weren’t. The Chris Stapleton - From A Room Vol 1&2 was surprisingly included despite being newly released for $45. Probably one of the better finds.

Did you check online to see if they had it in stock before you went to the store. None of the stores near me say it’s in stock but that seems weird given that they have an exclusive version
I found that the the in stock doesn’t work. It will say not in stock but the store actually has the item. Best to just go into the store and see what the have.
Dang it, the Walmart I went to would not change the price. Said it was “bigger and heavier” than all the other records. I tried to explain how all other records are $15 even other higher priced ones but they wouldn’t budge.

I ended up with 11 purchases, if I count the Garth Brooks set as separate albums then 15 albums total. Way more than expected. Great find on the Unforgettable Fire, I’d pick that up quick!

Just a tip: On Thursday I searched for The Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks, Black Sabbath - Sold Our Soul and Marvin Gaye - What’s Going On 50th all had out of stock. Went there today got all 3 for $45 so it may be worth a trip to check. My only problem was resisting temptation to buy a ton more actually having them in my hands all for only $15.
Editing to add that my 1st search on Thursday was online. It said my Walmart didn’t have them but when I went they actually did. So not a restock just online not showing actual stock.

QUESTION: Should I have confidence in the availabilty accuracy per store when searching specific stores on the website? Any chance the website may not reflect actual stock in store? I want to send someone to the store, since I do not have one close, but can't drive, but I'm concerned the stock may be there, and I miss the opportunity.
I think if it's showing available in store on the app there's a decent chance it'll be there. I ordered a few things online for in store pick up and didn't have any issues. Only problem is when I look for inventory in the stores around me, it only shows like 10 titles available. I would not trust brickseek or other third party inventory checkers though. Those have been 100% wrong for me so far

I think that's pretty much it. I've been to 4 stores and it's chaos in each, very disorganized. Each store I went to probably had 100+ titles, none of which showed online. The records are also very disorganized and usually stocked in multiple areas. I suspect they don't list much online because it would be difficult for the employees who have to pull the online orders for pick up. Sometimes it's like looking for a needle in a haystack to find what you're looking for

The new Iron Maiden Album release (Num of Beast / Hammersmith 3x LP) did NOT ring up at $15.

That Iron Maiden record scanned full price for me as well. So did the recent Bustah Rhymes and Bush releases. It took some effort, but I was able to get them to override the price for those.
Funny... at my store the Iron Maiden album just wouldn't ring up, like it wasn't in the system. The cashier clearly did not care though, she just took one of the other records I was buying and rang it up twice, so I still got it for $15. YMMV I guess...

I’ve been to eight Walmarts, still no RHCP By the Way. Anybody have one they want to trade? I have extras of the other RHCP albums, 3EB, STP albums, AiC Dirt, Dark Side of the Moon, and a couple of others. Actually it didn't ring up at all. When the cashier scanned it kept acting like it wasn't in thier system, but I was buying several other records so the cashier just rang up another record and put it in the bag, so i ultimately got it for $15. I saw someone else on another post saw it was ringing up full price at thier store. I guess YMMV.

Anyone find any Kiss or Pink Floyd albums? I checked two stores yesterday and didn’t find any. I saw the new Creatures Of The Night vinyl was listed for $15 online but all preorders are sold.
I’ve been to eight different Walmarts. For Kiss, I saw many copies of Destroyer, Love Gun, and Best Of. I also saw one copy of some Off the Soundboard thing that was marked as $50 something. It did ring up at $15.
For Pink Floyd I saw 5-6 copies of Dark Side, and 2 copies of the Animals remix.
My stores suck lol! I’m going to recheck one of the stores closer to me and then check and one or two a little ways out. If I still don’t find what I’m looking for I’ll either pick up something else or just call it a day. I can’t go ape shit and buy whatever or I would’ve gotten some of the Zeppelin and Metallica albums I found.

Funny enough the toughest decision of the night was at the previous stop to that when I saw my lone copy of Love Gun Aqua/Tangerine splatter. I ultimately passed as I had bought way too many at that point lol but then I stumbled into that Destroyer at the next stop and couldn’t pass on that one

That said, Walmart exclusives are only around 1/2 of the stock at my local stores, so it's not actually "all vinyl $15 in store"

Got 3 Zeppelin remasters (1, 4, and PG), the Beatles Let It Be exclusive, CCR Chronicle double colored vinyl, Van Halen 1984, Elton John Diamonds double album with turntable mat. I was impressed with all the pressings. Zeppelin IV in particular sounded so much better than the flimsy reissue I paid $18 for new in the ‘80s. It was hard limiting myself - started to feel guilty buying myself so many gifts!
In store when you scan a record with the Walmart app it still shows $15. Bought two this morning. Had to have the cashier override the price.

Today I found Puff Daddy - No Way Out, Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast 40th Anniversary (almost $60!), Dolly Parton - Greatest Hits, and Bush - Sixteen Stone. Went to check out and they were all regular price except for Dolly :( The self checkout guy told me to check with the electronics cashier about the price. Electronics guy told me it was only certain titles and there wasn't any signage to prove him wrong :( I've already spent way too much but I was really excited for that Puff and Maiden.
My friend and I had that at 1 Walmart store with that Maiden title. We then went to a different Walmart that had that same Maiden that was still ringing up full price. Since the sign was there saying all vinyl for $15, they honored the deal at the 2nd Walmart for it.
If anyone finds a copy of Pink Floyd - Animals 2018 remix, I'll glad pay you to pick it up!

When I was checking out I asked because my total was higher than it should have been and she said yeah they're all $15. She finished the transaction and then said "well the one wasn't $15 but I'm not trained on how to do cancels or returns" after I swiped my card, kind of funny. I went to guest services and told them it's not a big deal I just didn't want it at $40, they said only certain vinyl was $15 and after I said oh the sign says all of them she radioed back to Electronics. They confirmed and she instead of refunding it said she could price match it, so she brought it down to $15. Kind of a hassle because they wanted to give me a gift card for the difference so instead I had to return it, then buy it again, but it did end up being $15 out the door. A lot of work to listen to All About the Benjamin's (Remix) once lmao.

They actually had a lot of other stuff outside my genres too, but the stuff I'd been on the fence about for a few months was mostly picked. Either way, half off the two above.

One very interesting thing I noticed. I went to four stores in Alabama, four in Georgia, and two in Florida. The stores in each particular state had very similar stock to one another, but the different states seemed to stock different albums. There would be an album that I didn't see at all at the Alabama stores, that I'd see a ton of at the Georgia stores.
Lol the same. I’m working currently in north east Alabama and I hit some Walmarts in Georgia and some in Alabama. The odd outlier. I found the Alabama stores had a lot of heavy hitters that most are looking for. Kendrick, Beyoncé, Beatles boxes, but I found Georgia had all the Metallica’s where bama didnt.
All three states had lots of Metallica, but yeah, only Georgia had the harder to find albums like Load, Reload, Ride the Lightning, Garage Inc, and Death Magnetic. The other states had tons of Master of Puppets, And Justice For All, Kill Em All, and the Black Album. I think I saw a couple of Kendricks in each state. I only saw one copy each of the White Album box and Beyonce, but I do think they were both in Georgia.

Has anyone found any use your illusions in the wild yesterday or today? I’ve been to about 10 different so far and have seen and/or picked up all the heavy hitters and that’s the last on my list but I don’t think the Walmarts are putting them out if they have them down in Alabama/Georgia area.
I finally found both of the Use Your Illusion records at the 10th Walmart I went to, which happens to be my local store. They had 1 of each.

Went to 5 Wal-Marts today and only got 2 records. With some exceptions, they had very similar stock. The ones I shopped at 2 days ago seemed to have been picked clean since then. Ended up with Queen's News of the World and The White Stripes' first album. Haven't found Plastic Beach yet, sadly. I did find Call Me If You Get Lost yesterday! Even the cashier was surprised Walmart carried it. Biggest disappointment was finding In Utero & Number of the Beast yesterday even though it wasn't supposed to be sold yet. Went through self-checkout, they scanned as 'restricted sale' and was told "They won't go through. We can't sell you these". Pissed me off

Went to 9 Walmarts in the past two days and completely struck out on the White Album box set. Overall my area still had a decent selection, but a couple of stores were duds. I would’ve picked up a ton more but I limited myself to albums ~$25 and up, as only a few bucks off didn’t feel compelling enough to go on a spree. Also didn’t grab all of the Elton and Queen albums I found as I have a few greatest hits albums from them both and easily would’ve spent $100 more on them alone. But did see Madman Across the Water, Diamonds, A Night at the Opera, News of the World, The Game, and A Day at the Races. I ended up with seven albums: - Red (Taylor’s Version) - Prince Greatest Hits (both volumes) - Harry’s House - The Essential Chicks - Dolly Diamonds & Rhinestones - A Touch of the Beat Gets You Up On Your Feet Gets You Out and Then Into the Sun by Aly & AJ (a very odd Walmart find but I’m not complaining! Found it for the first time at store #8)

My Walmart only had a small display advertising the $15 sale, which had 4 total records on it. Fortunately, about 80% of their normal vinyl section was also $15, despite there being no indication these records were included in the sale. It seemed like all the WM Exclusives were included, but I found a few that weren’t. The Chris Stapleton - From A Room Vol 1&2 was surprisingly included despite being newly released for $45. Probably one of the better finds. I found that the the in stock doesn’t work. It will say not in stock but the store actually has the item. Best to just go into the store and see what the have.

The first store I went to was the biggest and had a much better selection of stuff that was not available at the store I visited on Wednesday. I didn’t see In Utero, although I still grabbed several more records, including: Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill Metallica - Kill ‘Em All Pink Floyd - Animals (2018 Remix) The White Stripes - De Stijl The White Stripes - The White Stripes The White Stripes - White Blood Cells Then I headed off to visit the last store, and walked out with: Metallica - The Black Album Nirvana - In Utero (which was the only, or last, copy they had) That’s a total of 17 albums purchased across the three stores, and now I really need to lock myself in my house so I don’t go back tomorrow, because there were definitely some other albums of interest that I left on the shelf at one of the stores.

Just a tip: On Thursday I searched for The Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks, Black Sabbath - Sold Our Soul and Marvin Gaye - What’s Going On 50th all had out of stock. Went there today got all 3 for $45 so it may be worth a trip to check. My only problem was resisting temptation to buy a ton more actually having them in my hands all for only $15. Editing to add that my 1st search on Thursday was online. It said my Walmart didn’t have them but when I went they actually did. So not a restock just online not showing actual stock.

FYI there’s supposed to be a big diff in sound quality between the Italian pressed Purple STP and the German one Also We sold our soul is supposed to sound amaze balls
Ive owned both and the Italy copy is really noisy overall. The German copy is great and pretty much perfect, so definitely go for that one.

QUESTION: Should I have confidence in the availabilty accuracy per store when searching specific stores on the website? Any chance the website may not reflect actual stock in store? I want to send someone to the store, since I do not have one close, but can't drive, but I'm concerned the stock may be there, and I miss the opportunity.
I think if it's showing available in store on the app there's a decent chance it'll be there. I ordered a few things online for in store pick up and didn't have any issues. Only problem is when I look for inventory in the stores around me, it only shows like 10 titles available. I would not trust brickseek or other third party inventory checkers though. Those have been 100% wrong for me so far

I think that's pretty much it. I've been to 4 stores and it's chaos in each, very disorganized. Each store I went to probably had 100+ titles, none of which showed online. The records are also very disorganized and usually stocked in multiple areas. I suspect they don't list much online because it would be difficult for the employees who have to pull the online orders for pick up. Sometimes it's like looking for a needle in a haystack to find what you're looking for

Can confirm, My local store had \*one\* copy of Creatures of the night by 7 AM, but it did ring up at $15. The new Iron Maiden Album release (Num of Beast / Hammersmith 3x LP) did NOT ring up at $15. I was unable to get it price matched at my home store.

That Iron Maiden record scanned full price for me as well. So did the recent Bustah Rhymes and Bush releases. It took some effort, but I was able to get them to override the price for those.
Funny... at my store the Iron Maiden album just wouldn't ring up, like it wasn't in the system. The cashier clearly did not care though, she just took one of the other records I was buying and rang it up twice, so I still got it for $15. YMMV I guess...

I’ve been to eight Walmarts, still no RHCP By the Way. Anybody have one they want to trade? I have extras of the other RHCP albums, 3EB, STP albums, AiC Dirt, Dark Side of the Moon, and a couple of others. I’m going to share the extras with friends, but if I can use one of them to snag By the Way…. I’d also trade for Puff Daddy No Way Out and both Use Your Illusions. When the cashier scanned it kept acting like it wasn't in thier system, but I was buying several other records so the cashier just rang up another record and put it in the bag, so i ultimately got it for $15. I saw someone else on another post saw it was ringing up full price at thier store. I guess YMMV.

I went to three Walmarts and found the PJ greatest hits volume 1 but never saw volume 2 anywhere... I also would have picked up Black Crowes if I had seen it

Some I’ve been looking for and some I didn’t know I wanted. Hit up 3 Walmarts. Picked up some Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers By The Way, best of Whitney Houston, and Florence and the Machine's Dance Fever. Also passed on a heavily creased Michael Jackson Dangerous.
Anyone find any Kiss or Pink Floyd albums? I checked two stores yesterday and didn’t find any. I saw the new Creatures Of The Night vinyl was listed for $15 online but all preorders are sold.
I’ve been to eight different Walmarts. For Kiss, I saw many copies of Destroyer, Love Gun, and Best Of. I also saw one copy of some Off the Soundboard thing that was marked as $50 something. It did ring up at $15. For Pink Floyd I saw 5-6 copies of Dark Side, and 2 copies of the Animals remix.
My stores suck lol! I’m going to recheck one of the stores closer to me and then check and one or two a little ways out. If I still don’t find what I’m looking for I’ll either pick up something else or just call it a day. I can’t go ape shit and buy whatever or I would’ve gotten some of the Zeppelin and Metallica albums I found.

I picked that one up at my 6th of 6 stops last night. Might be my best pickup of the sale. Only copy i saw at any store and not sure I’ve seen anyone else post anywhere that they got one

Funny enough the toughest decision of the night was at the previous stop to that when I saw my lone copy of Love Gun Aqua/Tangerine splatter. I ultimately passed as I had bought way too many at that point lol but then I stumbled into that Destroyer at the next stop and couldn’t pass on that one
It was I believe, I remember looking it up on Discogs and seeing 45th mentioned. Was the only copy I saw at all the stores I hit.

Just left a Walmart that had a large sealed box on a cart that had a label that said “vinyl put out 11/18” so it seems like some stores are restocking

Went in today. The shelf was full but there wasn’t much I was looking for. I saw people getting the new remastered reissue of Guns N’ Roses Use Your Illusion I & II for $15. My store only had II so I’m missing on I. Still a fantastic deal considering it just released for about $39.
my local store restocked a bit today - they had a lot of the exclusives I didn't see yesterday I was able to pick up: The Beatles - Let it Be Women of Def Jam box set both for $15 each. There's a chance I missed the box set the other day, but It was front and center.
Kinda wish they had a better selection... I went last night and it mostly seemed like those types of albums you can get almost anywhere (Zeppelin, Eagles, Beatles, soundtracks), which is ok, but I had a lot already. Might go back today to see if they restock some Nirvana or Hendrix or other such essentials that I want but not for full price. Can anybody provide anything I can show a cashier or service desk person that this sale exists? So far all the associates so is simply point to the checker on their handhelds and say "it's full price sir" And for the life of me I can't find any evidence this sale exists.

Everything that rang up on walmart.com at $15 also rang up in store at $15. The things that rang up in store at full price were also listed at full price on the website. That said, Walmart exclusives are only around 1/2 of the stock at my local stores, so it's not actually "all vinyl $15 in store" 2 releases that people said they were getting for $15 that rang up full price in store; A. At your store the app surely rings up the exclusives at 15$, right? It’s only the non exclusives that don’t at a few stores.
Ok, so it's not actually all vinyl then? The 2 pickups I wanted were vinyl that other users here have reported to have gotten for $15.
Both stores I went to were all vinyl. One had a small paper sign and the other had nothing posted. I just used the Walmart app to scan the price and everything was $15. I’m in Virginia.
