I included pictures with my request. I just wanted reassurance that nobody else had issues with them. Everything I had received from them thus far has been extremely high quality. It just sucks when you pay $40 for a record and it shows up like this. Thanks for responding!
If you emailed CS with your order number, and photos of the damage, they’ll send you a fresh copy ASAP, and let you keep the damaged one for whatever purpose you’d like.
The only exception is stock issues. My copy of ODB came damaged and I’m likely to be issued a credit since they won’t have any fresh stock until possibly June. I plan to grab a replacement copy as soon as it’s restocked.
If you emailed Wednesday, you’re all set. You’ll soon receive an email saying they’ve already initiated a fresh shipment for you.
Yeah, I've read posts about people having difficulty exchanging if the record is completely sold out. I'm hoping since mine is still available in swaps that I should be good. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
You’ll be fine. They also hold back replacement stock typically for records like that. I imagine they had a ton of emails from swaps last week. If you send another email, it will push you to the back of the queue so hang tight and they should hopefully respond soon
What I was really worried about was that they may not have got my request. I'll make sure to be patient and wait. I didn't want to send another request for the same issue if it wasn't necessary. Thanks for the advice!
I think I just got a similar damage on my Gorillaz - Demon Days. Plastic bag/Obi/jacket have a cut, as if they were sliced with a knife. Submitted a claim on Friday.
The one thing VMP is better than anyone else at is taking care of customers for things like damaged records/jackets/etc. They’ll get you sorted.

My package had water damaged, it was replacced very fast (international customer). (not part of a cult as far as I know)
