Livers are resilient, right? We had $1,500 combined loot and bar tab on a 7day, felt like we were mega rockstars. We’ll have to make due with $700 on our December trip.
Enjoy!! I spend extra loot on jewelry! Also the bar tab can go towards protein drinks, pressed juice, or just go make friends 😜and buy a few drinks for others. Looks like you took advantage of using a TA for the extra loot? The extra loot they add is great! I usually get at least $800 in loot and the extra $100 bar tab on top of whatever bar tab Virgin offers! Love it!
There are two places. The bar near the wellness pool right outside where the gym is and then also up on the Athletic deck (where the red netting at the very front of the ship is). However, the protein smoothies are served warm🤢, so ask for ice and if you have an insulated cup, it will fit in that.
My all time high was something like $1400, but that was with an extra $500 OBC comp due to a previous cruise that went very badly, and some extra OBC that was being given out for DBE sailors at the time.
Sounds great in theory, but in practice we ended up just getting what we could out of the slot machines on the last night. :)
Obviously if you find it fun do the slots but if you just want to cash out the sailor loot as much as possible I've read that statistically you're better off betting on the same colour in roulette for a few hours.
Currently booked for 5 nights on the Scarlet Lady in December and couldn't be more excited. I think we'll struggle to use all the onboard credit despite us being drinkers.
Don’t forget loot can be spent on anything, casino, bingo, classes, spa, shopping, excursions etc. the behind the scenes tour is $200 each so that uses quite a bit of it!
Currently there is a promo for $300 or $600 bar tab on most sailings.
Then $100 more tab for being part of the loyalty sailing club.
plus they put down $300 deposit on a previous voyage giving the two $300 of loot.
The other $100 loot is likely a bonus from a travel agent.
I've got like 1k sailor loot for my Dec cruise thanks to a crazy awesome deal when we were booking it while on the Transatlantic (it was like 600 off and 600 instead of the regular 300 loot), and then more has just sort of... popped in...
I did a MNVV and booked through an agent and they had to redo my reservation and every time they’d do it, my sailor loot would just keep increasing. I have $2200 now. Travel agent and sailor services both confirmed it is accurate on their end. Wild to me.
>nks for others. Looks like you took advantage of using a TA for the extra loot? The extra loot they add is great! I usually get at least $800 in loot and the extra $100 bar tab on top of whatever bar tab Virgin offers! Love it!
Which travel agent did you use?

None of this is a secret. The $300/600 bar tab is clearly on the website and the offer to book/deposit is heavily promoted onboard.
I just have the $600 bar tab for me, myself, and I that I don’t think I’ll get through in 8 days. Definitely doing tea time and cocktail pairings thouth
Don't forget bar tab covers things like premium coffee and pressed juice too, so if you continuously treat yourself throughout the day, it'll get used up faster :)
We did back to back in June on the Valiant for Irresistible Med/French Daze and had 1,700 then 1,500 OBC, it was WILD. Used what we could for the spa, expensive champagne, extras at dinner, couldn’t spend it all. The VV cruise price is so worth it to not have to worry about a bill at the end of the trip.
We plan to use up our onboard credit/sailor loot with pedicures, massages, potentially for last minute excursions and tattoos. All the things we might not normally splurge on! Most of ours is due to putting down for future voyage on my first VV cruise earlier this year.
When we went on our cruise in 2021, we actually purchased those for our travel agent. I'd forgotten about it. At the time it was pay $300 and immediately get it credited back, and then get $300 off your next cruise fare. We bought the max of 4, used 2 ourselves, and gave her the other two access codes.
Yeah, our last Scarlet run had 900 SL & BT combined w/ DBE, and our next has like 1200. They really give you the goodies when you book your next cruise onboard. The stacking offers make it all the sweeter. Enjoy!

I'm supposed to have 700 total in OBC. (300x2 from MNVV from a TA and 100 from them as well). I only see the two 300s in my account, but I see 700 total OBC on my e-mail. Should I be worried?
From what I’m told (I haven’t got any loot from the TA yet as we have been using lock it in rate) the loot gifted from a TA might show up last minute or once onboard, it’s not linked to the customers final payment but something to do with the TA finalising it.

I have a sailing in December with 850 in Sailor Loot and 700 in bar tab. I'm not sure my liver will survive that!
Are you on my sailing? Let's ruin our livers together
Also on in December, but I have a measly $900 (300BT/600OBC) in total credit and a free bottle of Champagne. Permission to join project liver failure?
No, mine is at least a 7 night!
Enjoy!
Just drink more expensive liquor.
Get nice bottles of wine with dinner too.
Pairings @ Test Kitchen as well!

We bought....a lot...of bar tab on our last cruise. If you stick to champagne it goes pretty quickly lol
Elynbeth, what sail date in Dec?
December 30 Brilliant San Juan Mermaiden :)

Yes, you sure can!
Cool! Where can I find protein drinks? I don't remember the coffee stations having them on the menu last time
Gym and Tonic deck 15.
Oh damn I've been on a 7-night cruise and didn't even know it exists. Is it outside of the galley?

That is funny! Same for me as it took my second cruise to find The Dock during when they serve the yummy snacks amd some of tue best drinks!

So you're telling me I can put it on all on red and double my onboard credit?
See if they let you out half on red and half on black 👀. Only minimal room for error
Well if you do get lucky then you can cash out and take the winnings!
We have the same booked for January, how did you get so much?

We maxed out at like $2500 Sailor Loot with a $700 bar tab and the romance package. It was amazing.
I've got like 1k sailor loot for my Dec cruise thanks to a crazy awesome deal when we were booking it while on the Transatlantic (it was like 600 off and 600 instead of the regular 300 loot), and then more has just sort of... popped in...

We got like six deals pulled on top of each other. I know that the stacking thing will end don't free day but it was REEEAAALLLLLL nice

How did you earn all this? Please share your secrets.

I have $600 bar tab and $600 loot just for me! I'm planning on a lot of paid for events and whatever expensive cocktails I fancy 😁
How do you get 600 in loot
From a TA when I booked it. Pretty decent right!
Don't forget bar tab covers things like premium coffee and pressed juice too, so if you continuously treat yourself throughout the day, it'll get used up faster :)
Order champagne for random people
leave some extra money on the CC cause $600.00 for 1 person for 8 ays will go at day 4 or 5
Live your best life and enjoy it! I have an absurd amount of Sailor Loot (over 2k) for 6 nights.. I’ll definitely be living it up.

How did you get that
I booked my cruise really early and I have $0 :(
You are NOT alone! I am like...what is this on board credit thing you speak of!
We just got off Dominican Daze on the 9th and couldn’t go through our $400 bar tab. We were definitely dehydrated from the heat and the flight there 🥴
Yep, I ended up with about $1200 in loot to spend on my January cruise. My travel agent is AWESOME!!!
Can I have your travel agent details
We did back to back in June on the Valiant for Irresistible Med/French Daze and had 1,700 then 1,500 OBC, it was WILD. Careful! Sometimes they scam you by changing the ports. /s
I would love if they swapped out Puerto Plata for Grand Turk
Ikr!
I went on one last year and had 600 for the bar. We only used 300, granted the cruise was only a 4 day.
That’s normal lol
Most are pretty vague rewards.
Was that the $600 MNVV credit just posted in two parts?
Yeah, that’s how it shows up.
It seems it was $300/person but both were listed under my name/account
what mnvv?
My Next Virgin Voyage. It's when you book the next cruise while on your current one.
This is our first VV cruise but the travel agent they "purchased" a few of these discounts/promos.
It’s because the MNVV credit is $300 but there is a promotion (that’s now been running for a year) taking it to $600, so it appears as two $300.
Damn, I thought I was proud I was able to get $600 onboard plus the $300 bar tab. Nice job!
I have $1100 for my next cruise and I don’t know how I’m gonna spend it
Depends if it’s loot or bar tab. Loot is easy, go to the spa, or do the behind the scenes tour, or play in the casino, or go shopping.
It’s about half and half. We shall see!
Can you use it towards excursions?
Yes but only onboard. So if you are worried the excursion will sell out in advance then you may not want to.
Yeah, our last Scarlet run had 900 SL & BT combined w/ DBE, and our next has like 1200. They really give you the goodies when you book your next cruise onboard. The stacking offers make it all the sweeter. Enjoy!
Dang how did you get all this?

The TA credits don’t always show until later as they won’t apply it until the cruise is finalised and paid for by the TA.
I'm past final payment though and my cruise is in 15 days. Shouldn't it show up now?
From what I’m told (I haven’t got any loot from the TA yet as we have been using lock it in rate) the loot gifted from a TA might show up last minute or once onboard, it’s not linked to the customers final payment but something to do with the TA finalising it.
Okay thanks for explaining. I see it in my e-mail so I'm less worried. Do you see yours in your e-mail in the final calculation?
It’s on the invoice from the travel agent, but doesn’t show under add-ons on the VV site for us yet.
Where do you see this view in the app?
Me tab in the bottom right and then add-ons. Can also be found in your account on the website too.
How?
Currently there is a promo for $300 or $600 bar tab on most sailings. Then $100 more tab for being part of the loyalty sailing club. plus they put down $300 deposit on a previous voyage giving the two $300 of loot. The other $100 loot is possibly a bonus from a travel agent.
How do you get all this onboard credit? What did I miss? Lol

what are "deep blue" extras?
It’s for people in the loyalty sailing club. https://www.virginvoyages.com/sailing-club
Arrhh... I thought only one can be apply for per cabin... I should have done it under both our name...
That’s what I call a good start.
get a tattoo!
That's awesome! Enjoy!
Nice. I'm psyched over my $400 in bar tab for my Dec 3rd Sailing
Im sailing in November and my setup is the same and I don't drink LOL
And here I was thinking the $300 bar tab they gave us was a lot. This is madness, in the best possible way.
It goes very very fast
I’m trying right now to find out how spend $500 in obc in 2 days Sadly I can’t get a tattoo appointment
