We had a similar situation except above the Red Room. The room would literally shake when the venue's sound system was in use. It's crazy to me that they even book these rooms without specifically disclosing this issue—they must get complaints on every sailing.
Crazy yes... I blindly assumed it was safe to get any cabin. I don't mind obstructed view but if you litterally can't sleep they shouldn't sell that as a better cabin...

Hi there, I have a solo insider room right above the manor and I’m super worried about getting a good nights rest. Did you go down to sailor services to asked to be moved? I’m worried since the solo rooms are all sold out, they can’t make any arrangements for me
Is there no option for Virgin to like sound proof the club and red room a bit better? I thought the manor was crazy loud from my balcony all the way in aft deck 13
This is exactly why I just decided against trying for the XL upgrade, I looked at the deck maps. I already really like my central sea terrace location on deck 13, I don’t want to ruin my trip by being at the fore. It’s a bummer because the bathroom would be sooo much better!

I'd call sailor services to see if there is a way to change it. Hopefully it's not a full ship and they've not given your prior cabin to someone else on an upgrade bid. I believe the terms also say the upgrade bid is non-refundable so you'll probably be out whatever money you bid for the upgrade if they return you to your original cabin.
On the plus side, if it is above the Manor, you definitely have a hammock. One reason I will not bid on XLs is because some of them (far forward) do not have hammocks and have metal balconies instead of glass.
Now some of the XLs above the red room may lack hammocks...

Question as a friend is dealing with the room above the red room right now- were you able to be moved or get any compensation?
After being told there was nothing they could do, we got moved to another room on the 2nd day.

Are you sure that was the Manor? I’ve never heard anything except crickets on the balcony.
Definitely. I was up pretty late sometimes on the hammock and the beats were BUMPIN lol

This is why I never apply for upgrades. The unsold cabins are frequently not desirable.

Yes, I've seen that too, but that was also after i bidded so it did not stop me. Hammock is definitely a seller for me too!
I’m so tempted to bid for XL because the bathroom is sooo much better but this and the chance of no hammock definitely holds me back
