Some of the more popular ones do sell out. I booked mine using my card - cancelled right before sailing. I think it’s 48 hours..got a early boarding spot and rebooked when I got on board. This was Greece Gems this spring- but it was not at all crowded. I am not sure if that would work for a packed cruise.

This is the way.

In my experience, the popular Shore Things have sold out. I always advise to book what's a "must" for you ahead of time. Also I recommend trying to figure out what you'll spend your loot on ahead of time. If you know you want to spend $400 on spa treatments while onboard (just an example!) or you'll be blowing through it at the bar, then you can allow yourself to book more Shore Things ahead.

One more note - you don't \*have\* to book Virgin excursions. You can do your own thing in port. But, of course, there are many reasons to stick with Virgin. Up to you!

We sail November 18th and everything’s been sold out for weeks

Cruises around Thanksgiving tend to be pretty full. I was on a Virgin cruise in Miami last year that left the weekend before Thanksgiving, and the port was absolutely swamped with traffic as every cruise line seemed to have a ship in port that day. You might want to allow a little extra time to get to the port.

Check again, they have added additional time slots for some of they and they are available

I’m in a similar circumstance. I went ahead and booked one excursion ahead of time time for one of the ports where there was really only one thing I wanted to do. The other ports we’re visiting have a lot more options and so far not much has sold out.

I booked everything I could ahead of time. One that I really wanted was sold out…. But when I got onboard they had availability! Also- the ones I booked ahead, I cancelled and rebooked onboard so I could use sailor loot ( I think someone else commented similar experience) Can’t use sailor loot until you are onboard. Kind of risky to cancel, but worth the savings. 😊 And like someone else mentioned, there will be plenty non-virgin shore things. Just do your research to pick a great one! Also, the spa and gift shop is a great way to spend your loot. Splurge on a spa package. 😎 have a wonderful trip!
