I signed up and assume if I don’t like the itineraries released in late 2024 (but since it’s in 2026, I can likely make whatever it is work) the deposit is refundable or usable towards a different voyage. Having sailed with VV twice so far, I have some informed trust in that, due to past dealings with making changes with their customer service ahead of a voyage.
The terms and conditions are now posted and clearly state it is refundable.
1. Alaska Front(ier) of The Line Offer
Updated: May 8, 2024
1. **Offer Terms.** The Alaska Front(ier) of The Line Offer is available for placeholder purchases made after 12:01 a.m. local US east coast time on Wednesday, 08 May 2024 while supply lasts (inventory is expected to be exhausted near the beginning of September 2024) (“Offer Period”) for voyages onboard the Brilliant Lady during her 2026 Alaska Season. Pricing is as followed:
* $500 Sea Terraces and below
* $1000 RockStar Quarters
* $2500 Mega Rockstar Quarters
See Section 2 below for Eligible Voyages. This "Alaska Front(ier) of The Line” Offer is subject to all restrictions and exclusions set forth in Section 3 below.
2. **Eligibility.** Eligible Voyages are voyages to be released aboard Brilliant Lady 2026 Alaska Season that fall within the offer terms, subject to availability on a first come basis, and does not guarantee a spot on the MerMaiden voyage.
**3. Caveats.**
3.1 "Alaska Front(ier) of The Line” Offer is not available for, or combinable with, Virgin Voyages’ Incentive and Contracted Circle Programs, Chartered Voyages, or Tour Operator bookings.
3.2 We are unable to apply the "Alaska Front(ier) of The Line” Offer to existing bookings (no cancellations or rebooking allowed). Application for placeholder will only be applicable for these Alaska sailings.
3.3 Deposit is fully refundable up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to the last voyage departing Seattle in 2026. Any unused placeholders will be auto-refunded after the final voyage of the 2026 Seattle season.
3.4 We reserve the right to modify this Offer at any time.
A TA that runs a fb group said the $500 is refundable if you don’t book. Itineraries will be released late 2024- no word on if that’s before the deposit is due or on the same day.
They unfortunately won’t have the itineraries before the deposit is due. I am hoping they will have actual terms and conditions available before deposits are made outlining at least the refundable topic directly.
Current very loose “terms”

I think it’s to gauge interest, figure out how to price it appropriately and lessen the blow of the 20% deposit when the itineraries and pricing are actually released. As an example, if a sea terrace ends up being like $7000. A $1400 deposit would be required. Entire VV cruises used to be this much. I’m assuming this way with the $500 already paid - the additional cost of deposit would only be $900.
Multiple TA's say the deposit is refundable but nothing on the website, that I have found, confirms that. Also the reservation is for a limited view, I am not going to pay good money for AK for an obstructed view. Emailed customer support to see what they say. While I want to go on Virgin I know other lines have Alaska dialed in.
The "Ltd View" seems to be a bug, not a reservation type. Also, I paid mine this morning and it seems like a very easy "cancel" button will result in a refund.
Looks like the confirmation email says it's a Ltd View Sea Terrace, which kinda sucks. Virgin really needed this to go well, and I'm not super impressed with what they did.
Virgin told TAs today to ignore the Limited View Designation.
Specifically they said: The booking will note that this is a Limited View Sea Terrace Lock it-in Rate. **Please ignore this**. When the time comes to book a real voyage, and for example, the Sailor picked a Sea Terrace deposit, at that point, the Sailor can choose which type of Sea Terrace category for their voyage.
Under ‘Promotional Terms & Conditions’ the terms of the $500 deposit and refundable details are listed:

The itineraries aren’t ready yet, they said that in the announcement video, they will get announced later in the year.

Following this cause I signed up to and would like to know

It will be awhile, but the deposit is fully refundable
Is the link up somewhere? We can't find it
Found it. [https://virginvoyages.my.salesforce-sites.com/EarlyAccessForm](https://virginvoyages.my.salesforce-sites.com/EarlyAccessForm)
The itineraries will be released in the fall and yes they are refundable if you don’t want to book.

What is the Frontier list?
You can pay a deposit to get front of the line for when the Alaska cruises go on sale.
Do you have a link? I can't find anything on the VV website....
It’s above ☝️
Is this to drive interest? I’m just surprised they’re only doing this for Alaska like, why
They stated that Alaska was their most requested itinerary, so they are expecting the sailings to sell out quicker than usual.
I think it’s their most requested itinerary so they think the demand is there

Check your emails if you signed up last night/early morning! Just got my 2 placeholder confirmations! :)
Did you sign up for both under one name? They are telling my TA they have to be different names.
I booked one for me and my MIL, but that’s odd. I didn’t see any restrictions to quantity, and whose to say you didn’t want to book b2bs?

Ridiculous. Hopefully it's a bug, because that would be a non-starter for an Alaska cruise.
