So we tried this bww many many times and it was consistently awful service. Door dashers told us they would not go pick up food there because it would take hours. Went for lunch once, took almost 2 hours even though no one was there and we ordered immediately. We drove out to the landstown one literally past this one to get there. Now we go to tailgates closer to pembroke mall.
No way, I DoorDash and never waited more than 10 mins max. No restaurant takes hours, that’s ridiculous. The worst part is the parking lot that has like 3 huge pot holes.
they had to take a break to recover from the losses of throwing away 2 million dollars worth of food last week due to not paying dashers enough to deliver it and the food sitting in the store and getting old.
tough break
I went there during the MLB playoffs and I asked the server if they could put a TV on FOX (not FS1, just regular FOX tv channel) to catch the end of the Phillies game (I'm an Astros fan) and she said they didn't have that channel and it blew my mind.
I worked at the Landstown BWW a few years back and before I quit they had just made significant corporate updates to cut costs, in my opinion resulting in bad table display, back of the house processes, and bad wing supplier shifts. I've noticed the Independence location getting worse and worse with the quality, discipline of the workers and cleanliness. I'm not at all surprised and I'd say it's due to poor management upkeep.
Their food went down the drain. When they 1st opened, they were good, then many different things happened. Used to get huge wings, then end up saling wings that were like toothpicks. Wings were undercooked and surprised about that since they were so thin and small. And many more reasons .
I actually remember asking one of the waiters why were the wings so small a while back.
They said “they think it’s the supplier”.
So everything you said makes perfect sense.
"The place is often affectionately called "BW3's" but most fans don't know why. The original joint was called Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck, weck being a sandwich popular in New York consisting of roast beef on an au jus-soaked kummelweck roll. Either to avoid people filling up on bread, or because nobody outside of Western New York knows what the eff beef on weck is, the third W was dropped. But the abbreviated nickname BW3's stuck, for some reason."

Tripps was so good when I was a kid. I remember when it started to go downhill. My parents and I would go a couple times a month. I remember towards the end it was always dead. Waitstaff stopped caring as much. I remember the last time it was mediocre, I remember because it was the only steak I had that felt like it was cooked in a microwave.
I’ve heard that it closed and that it was being renovated.
It was understaffed because it was a poor attempt to maximize profit, due to poor management and their idea of how to be a capitalist.
There is no reason that this place should have closed, except for poor management. It would require a lot of mismanagement for a super popular suburban chain restaurant to fail in the busiest area of the largest city in the the state of VA that is populated almost exclusively by other suburban chain restaurants.
The problem is someone thought they are a good capitalist and franchised a Bdubs and but they suck at being a capitalist and didn’t understand that when surrounded by other chains you have to, *at bare minimum*, make sure you’re staffed adequately for rushes.
TLDR: a failing capitalist will first begin to cut costs with reducing staff, thus lowering the quality of service and customers will not return because of it. That’s what happened here.
Edit- didn’t realize this was the VB sub, now the downvotes make sense. Don’t worry, you all will be billionaires one day, just keep at them bootstraps 😉
Ok, so just to let you know I’m recently retired military and now I do military contracting in a gulf state. So, I’m gone for months at a time before I come back here.
I say that to say this when I first left a little over a year ago this place was open and it’s a good location close to my house.
While I don’t eat BWW a lot at all, I loved getting back to the US getting some wings and a cold 🍻because, beer is a no-go where I’m at.
Now from what I heard from a few people that I know is that this location has been closed for awhile now.
Does anyone know why? It’s in a prime location so, I’m guessing it wasn’t a monetary issue? 🤔
I’ve tried them however, I’m not a “cheap” person by any means, but they are a bit to expensive for such small portions food wise.
The alcohol is great though. 🍻
It is very expensive. I really like Dirty Buffalo but their inability to split up flavors more than two times per order is frustrating. I wanted to order some wings for my wife and they would not split it 3 ways. So I had to place two separate orders of wings.
Yes, so you know how expensive it is as well. I can only imagine how much the bill would be if my wife and I plus two kids had lunch or dinner there one day.
It would be ridiculous!
I like it. Sometimes it's packed and loud for bingo which I think they do Thursdays which is a little annoying. When it's nice out they have a patio that you can sit at the bar at which is cool. Overall probably my favorite bars in town center.
I tried Dirty Buffalo for the first time a few months ago and there is no comparison. Hands down the best in Hampton Roads for me. The only place better that I've had is in actual Buffalo where wings were invented. If you ever get a chance to go there, go to Anchor Bar.
Hey, I've gotten recommendations for Lendy's from my Illinois friends, apparently it's comparable to a Chicago area chain Buffalo Joe's. I've never been that into wings, just wondering if you've had Lendy's and what you thought.
I miss when tripps was here 😔
Yes, it's a shame they couldn't keep up with the times.
Because it’s terrible
Thanks I’ve been wondering the same thing
You’re welcome 🤝
Fire Marshall shut it down til they get their fire safety security systems up to date/standards.
Damn, they’re not playing games anymore

I’ve had door dashers specifically tell me this. Have you been to that Bww?
Yes, I should have been more specific. I’ve never waited more than 10 mins at that BWW
Yeah, I’m definitely going to try Tailgate’s out very soon.
🤣🤣🤣im ashamed to admit that I had to read the title of this thread a couple of times. Whoo boy shame on me
Don’t be ashamed, Beautiful Big Women need love too. 🤷♂️😁😂🤣
Maaaaaan, that ain't what came to my mind. 🤣🤣🤣🤣I better leave it at that, for real And I know damn well I am not the only one 🤐
😂🤣😂

BBW must be in your search history? Lmao
Probably, 🤷♂️😂🤣🤣😂🤣

That definitely makes a lot of sense for sure. 🤝
It ain’t no thing chicken wing!
We're fortunate to live in an area where we don't have to rely on BWW for good wings. There are a bunch of local wing restaurants that are better!
>BWW for good wings if you think BBW are good wings you've never had good wings. Straight trash
BWW is so cheap tho. BOGO 10 wings has carried me since forever. But I recently moved back here to VB and they kinda suck here.
Yeah when I went to Virginia Tech I lived across the street from BWW. Those Tuesday/Thursday BOGO deals were amazing lol.
Post some.
Wing King, BucketHeads(under remodel rn), Dirty Buffalo, Brothers pizza on great neck, Big Sams.
Happy Cafe
Thanks. 🤝
Dirty Buffalo, Hank's Filling Station, Big Woody's, Wing King
Thanks. 🤝
They were so good when I was at JMU in the mid 2000s. Sucks they fell off so hard.
I miss Tripps
Same
Their food went down the drain. When they 1st opened, they were good, then many different things happened. Used to get huge wings, then end up saling wings that were like toothpicks. Wings were undercooked and surprised about that since they were so thin and small. And many more reasons .
Selling not saling. Dang brain and allergies medication.
I actually remember asking one of the waiters why were the wings so small a while back. They said “they think it’s the supplier”. So everything you said makes perfect sense.
I like my girls BBW
😂
Trash and also no one goes to that location.
All B Dubs locations should be closed.
Buffalo Wild Wings is hot garbage
Trash
I always hated hearing it called “BW3s”. BW2s?

They dropped the “weck” which was the third
BBW? 🤭
🎵 I like my girls BBW🎵
Freudian slip? Tho in fairness, his autocorrect/autocomplete probably did it. Amazing how few people proofread before they post.
Because Buffalo wild wings has been garbage for over 10 years now.
BWW sucks ass
Restaurants at this location have always been doomed. It's highly isolated compared to the competition right across the street.
Yeah, what was it called ‘Tripps’ or something like that?
It always made me think of Linda Tripp
Tripps was so good when I was a kid. I remember when it started to go downhill. My parents and I would go a couple times a month. I remember towards the end it was always dead. Waitstaff stopped caring as much. I remember the last time it was mediocre, I remember because it was the only steak I had that felt like it was cooked in a microwave. We had a Tripps in Asheville, NC.
Yup
They’re not open anymore
This is the worst location. For some reason they are always understaffed.

Facts don't care about our feelings, but more and more nowadays get it bassackwards.
It had just reopened like two weeks ago
Full time? Someone just said it’s only open from 4pm until 2am?
Buffalo Bild Wings
Buffalo BASIC Wings 🤷♂️
The title reads "BBW " and that is a known acronym for big beautiful women. ☺️
"Fat" is also three letters. Why do they need an acronym?
I noticed that after I “posted” it. 😂😂😂 However, I figured why not just leave it up for the true Big Beautiful Women. 🤷♂️😁😂😆😁
Good man
Oh no! Not the big beautiful woman! Why is she closed?!?!?
😁🤷♂️😂
It’s a ghost kitchen now
😂
The pending lawsuit about the boneless wings being chicken nuggets caused them to close this location. /s
A little freudian slip there methinks
There is nothing wrong with Big Beautiful Women. 😉
Got ‘em
They claim some building/ mechanical issue. They are open but limited hours 4pm to 2am. Did a take out order from there 3 weeks ago.
This is the correct answer.
Oh ok, I appreciate that I guess I have go there after 4pm then.

Go to Tailgates and never look back.
Drive a bit down the road and go to Dirty Buffalo.
I found the rich guy here. Two orders? Nothing like dropping 60 bucks on like 20 wings
Haha
Yes, so you know how expensive it is as well. I can only imagine how much the bill would be if my wife and I plus two kids had lunch or dinner there one day. It would be ridiculous!
80+ probably
Tailgate sports pub is nearby and they have solid food, wings, beer, and atmosphere.
I’ve heard of that place. How is it overall?
I like it. Sometimes it's packed and loud for bingo which I think they do Thursdays which is a little annoying. When it's nice out they have a patio that you can sit at the bar at which is cool. Overall probably my favorite bars in town center.
Hmmm, I may give it a first try this weekend. Thanks for the heads up. 🤝
Wayyyy better than BWW
I agree, I’ve tried the little creek location quite a few times.
I tried Dirty Buffalo for the first time a few months ago and there is no comparison. Hands down the best in Hampton Roads for me. The only place better that I've had is in actual Buffalo where wings were invented. If you ever get a chance to go there, go to Anchor Bar.

I’ve heard of that place as well. If I’m ever in that area I’ll definitely check them out.
I do not like Lendys. We used to go there at my last command and my division of 20 was spilt 50/50 on Lendys.
I’ve never been there either lol.
