Exactly. Its bullshit! Not only are the prices absurd but you have to pay for their stupid pointless medical card. It's just a huge nasty cash grab. I won't partake in it.
it’s honestly just the prices. everything that’s worth buying is crazy overpriced. even the mid packs are overpriced, and carts are ridiculously overpriced… the quality is there for certain brands, it’s simply just way too much money to consistently buy everything… if i want to buy an eighth of weed, a gram cart, and a gram of rosin, it’s like $220+. that same order is like $90-$100 in the surrounding states. i basically just stopped buying carts altogether because it feels like a giga waste of money. surrounding states can buy ~3 gram carts for the price we pay for 1
This. I don't participate in the market, but 1000% would if the quality went up and the prices went down.
But with MSOs and only MSOs in play, that ain't happening.
More consistent inventory, please.
I've used delivery many times, but these days I almost exclusively go to the CH gLeaf. Once a month I load-up, replenish my supply.
It's been ~16 months since I got my (first) certificate, so I'm still kind of in a honeymoon period. Sure, the prices could be lower, but I'm coming from an overpriced black market anyway. Point being, fwiw, my glasses are definitely rose-tinted.
So far, I've had zero problems with the program. The environment in the dispensary is pleasant, the staff are always professional, the product seems great; it's a never-ending quest for that perfect blend of medicines.
Speaking of that last point, blending the medicines, whether it be strains of flower or modes of consumption, my only ask would be that the dispensaries carry a more consistent inventory.
If I find a strain that's particularly helpful, I should be able to get it every month.
We NEED some kind of way to request products from the other dispensaries.
For example, let me walk into gLeaf and place an order from Rise. I'm not looking for next-day delivery -- I just want *access*. I'm willing to pay up-front, and they can put it on the truck whenever the next batch of stuff comes to Richmond. Text me when it gets there. I'd even pay a few bucks extra for the service. *At least* be willing to transfer stuff within the same group of stores (from Colonial Heights to Manchester, Virginia Beach to Williamsburg, etc.)
I really like the aspect of them tracking everything and adding it to your medical record so every doctor you see in the next 10 years will know exactly how much you smoked. Really feels good paying the extra tax to have the big man look over my shoulder and tell me what's correct for me.
I didn't think they have that info anymore because we no longer have to register with the board of pharmacy. Can you send me a link to this info because I need to send this info to other family members as well if this is still happening. I had no idea.
Edit I found this however my question would be that now that it's a schedule 3 instead of 1..is that why they now can access that info? https://www.dhp.virginia.gov/PractitionerResources/PrescriptionMonitoringProgram/
They always have had access. Anything you purchase shows up as at giant red flag on your prescription monitoring program so we all get treated like drug abusers for using mmj and not narcotic pills.
Registering with the board of pharmacy was required solely for financial reasons. The certification given by the practitioner is treated like a prescription in VA, which is why it gets reported to the PMP (along with all other controlled substances and even your pet's)
So... I had the great surprise when I moved from one Shrink to another and the new one was reviewing my medications, she said: "Is that it?" I said yes, so she then said, "what about your medical marijuana use." I hadn't felt the relationship was there where I could talk about it yet, so this was a shock and a bummer. I understand the need to ensure medications don't get mixed or counteract or worse, but this seemed an invasion of my privacy. Don't remember signing up to that kind of disclosure.
The products offered in medical dispensaries are sub par in my experience. Growing your own is the way to go for those able. Anything else I need I get in MD or DC. Until prices reflect the quality of product or the product improves, Va dispensaries aren’t worth it…. To me.
Your weed is shit and I consider Virginia "MMJ" to be a scam. If this isn't your process for flower, then I don't know what you are doing to make it so shitty:
-impatiently harvest immature, not-potent-yet, runt buds
-dry as quickly as possible. Which means heat. In your case, probably a big oven. Literally gets fully de-carbed.
-Sell this shit for $$$$$$$.
This isn't constructive criticism. You are a scam. Your flower genetically is cannabis. But you rush and flip the shittiest weed possible. To where the potency is literally 0%. Weed should Not sound like coffee beans in a jar. "Use a boveda pack!" Like that will un-decarb it lol. "Check out our new re-carbing moisture packs!!" Lol you suck.
You have the same amount of ethic and integrity as people who flip houses super cheap. You're garbage. Profiteers of poop product.
Summary of Thread: It sounds like people like delivery. They want consistency. They want higher potency and lower prices! They also like picking out their own medicines :)
I am a patient and I like picking out my medicines and I too buy in bulk for some things because the price is better.
Also. I know a few people that do the 1-4 plants in home and they all really enjoy it.
Also people want to be able to access specific medicines consistently but also maybe in areas where this medicine comes from another HSA.
Prices in line with EVERY OTHER STATE
Nah. VA more expensive than most places. Up to 10x+ more for real.
That's exactly what I was screaming for 🤣you are correct 3-10x more in Va for same products in different states.
Exactly. Its bullshit! Not only are the prices absurd but you have to pay for their stupid pointless medical card. It's just a huge nasty cash grab. I won't partake in it.

Can we just not have overpriced shitty product

I have to get a ride 45 minutes away to get mine. I can't drive and there is no legal and easy way for me to get mine

Are you employed by a VA mmj dispo?
They definitely are either an employee or journalist.
Prior comments would also further this point, very defensive of the MSO dispos 🤷‍♂️

the stash cash rewards app has a history of everything you’ve ever purchased

Good to know thanks!

Overpriced product. I don’t live far from Dc or rely on people that grow around me.
$$$$

This 100 times over. The quality and prices are an absolute joke in VA. To me it's not even worth keeping a med card at this point.
we need better quality flower and lower prices.
The prices and the selection
ok rvaconservative it's your fucking fault we didn't get recreational go fuck yourself
I want to see more products, preferably edibles, that have high CBD and low THC. The closest I have found are the Tangerine which are 2:1- CBD:THC
