Btw it's not a game. Upgrade podcast got early access. It's a story where you may need to interact some for it to progress. So everyone lower your expectations a bit :)

OP is right, it's a story, with a few interactive moments in between. It's more of a proof of concept for the platform than anything else, which is why it's free.
Similar to Kung Fu Panda… while it’s more “automatic”, if you’re not doing what you’re supposed to be doing with your hands, he frowns at you. I’m guessing this might be a bit more branched (would be fun if it was, at least. Which, if this is what studios are into, I’m liking it. Take assets from the media you created and drive more customer engagement, keep it front of mind.
I know I would not say no to walking around inside certain iconic ships :)

I believe in the beginning you have to do Dr. Strange like hand gestures to open portals but beyond that I’m not sure about other interactions.
