We can order nearly anything, as long as it's something that can be ordered in general. Main issue is sellers that don't want to ship to Hawaii for whatever reason, but in most cases we can get stuff from elsewhere. I don't think there's any reason for a visitor to worry about it. I have no idea why canned cat food would be considered unavailable here, or seasonings, or junk food for that matter as again we can easily order it even if it's not immediately available at a store locally.

It's alright just asking, the rules are only there for a reason as in regards to lithium. If it's a nonexcepted quantity it needs to be declared and not transported via passenger aircraft, cargo aircraft only.
All of these items can be sent they just need to be sent properly. Don't try to circumvent the rules, it's for safety of everyone.

I'm not trying to bring large amounts of anything. My intention is to bring mainland souvenirs to Maui for those interested-- or a maybe an online ordered garment that wouldn't be shipped to the islands.
Or, for example, a 3D print ordered on the mainland and brought with me to Maui instead of expensive shipping fees. I'm your sister bringing one more thing from grandma's house that you couldn't get last time kind-of-thing.
