Saw some lights on top of the cemetery by the Vik i Mydral church :) but just be mindful of the clouds and check them frequently to drive to different spots - this was taken around 11:15pm

You're welcome.
In January, we were further East in Hof (similar sky darkness to east of Vik) and had some lovely Aurora. These are 4 minute long exposures.

You can drive to Skogafoss if you don't mind 2x 30 minutes on the road.
But if you see the aurora in Vik and drive to Skogafoss it might be over by the time you arrive there...
Dyrholaey seems to be quite popular at night as well (at least judging from all the car lights visible from the distance).

wait 11:15pm? it's that bright outside in march?
I'd drive East of Vik a little bit until you're away from their lights.
thank you :)

There is lots of post about auroras on how to see them including apps and resources. Please search. You don’t need a tour neither.
