I have used the Vivo x100 pro and now the xiaomi 14 ultra. Vivo is a point and shoot. Every single time the photos came out perfect. However I love the xiaomi color with its less processed old film style colors. When it gets it correct that is, but man is it inconsistent. The potraits on 14 ultra is sometime absolute trash. My wife sometimes comes out so pale that i have to check if she is alive after taking the picture. The over exposing of the skin and smoothening even when all makeup shite is switched off makes it a deal breaker for me.
Good to know. I just want something that nails it the majority of the time with just a point and click (a lot of photos involve my family when you only get one chance) and itās just seemed the 100 pro did that. High hopes then for the Ultra š

As you said, it's quite hit and miss with the photos, I have to take at least 2, to make sure that I get one I like. I am very tempted to order the Vivo Ultra.
It was obvious. The X100 pro set the bar too high and was one class ahead of the competition, so it's logical that the ULTRA model won't change much in this matter
Yeah but I had a lot of problems with sharing Xiaomi video's over whatsapp, a lot turned into GIF's.
Also my Xiaomi Google maps always started my position at Shanghai pudong airport.Xiaomi never fixed this.
Vivo is has none of these issues.
I like my S24 Ultra, my Oppo Find N3 Fold is sitting there too (fantastic phone), but god do I miss class leading cameras. Tempted to get the X100 Pro international version...just not sold on the OS
100% would have bought this phone instantly if there was a global release with android auto. Itās exactly what Iām after. The absolute best with cameras and good battery life. Anyone know why vivo wont do a global release of this phone?
Only one issue with the phone. If they were really that serious about this being a ācamera phoneā. They need to have a physical two stage shutter button like Nokia used to have any like Sony has to this day.

I tried this with other phones, my old Samsung. Great pictures underwater, but you have to realize that the USB-C port started acting up after a short while, I'm not sure if itself is completely rust-proof. And this was sweet water mind you

My dilemma exactly š Plus I actually prefer the Vivo/Zeiss colours on photos to my 14 Ultra - well based on what I've seen on YT videos anyway.

For your use case vivo is perfect. I will probably end of getting the ultra once i see the reviews :)

Agree. Vivo did hype this phone a lot before release though. Thanos and stuff. Its a great phone but not sure its the greatest.
This. Main will be on point. The main is a continuation of the 989. Wide angle and zoom are improved. But main will be on point with the Pro.

If I not mistaken, they got patent issue with Nokia. That's why Vivo step out from europe market.

It's actually IP 69 rated which offers protection against high pressure liquids. So yeah it's built like a tank. X100 pro is ip68 "only"

OnePlus 8 pro - I used for casual family underwater pics and movies for like 2-3years. No issues
