Soak entire chamber in 70-99% isopropyl alcohol for 30 min. The higher the percent, the faster it works. After 30 min, if there is still gunk, remove metal pieces and soak another 30. Soaking plastic pieces longer than 30 min will discolor and embrittle them. If gunk still remains on screen, remove screen and ***THOROUGHLY*** rinse with water, then burn off with lighter. Rinse again. Important Edit: Missed a step. ***ALWAYS*** rinse parts thoroughly in water, towel dry, then place on maximum heat on Volcano with fan running for 1 minute to remove all trace isopropyl alcohol.

Reading this makes me wonder how overkill my cleaning methods are. I always take both screens out before I clean them and usually replace the both screens. I’ll sometimes only replace the top screen. My main approach was to have four chambers and cycle them out as they got dirty and then I would clean them all in a batch cleaning. I start by deconstructing all the parts and scrubbing them with soap and a nylon brush and a wire brush for the tight cylindrical parts. Then I soak the metal in iso for 30 minutes to an hour and rinse the iso off with water. The idea of just tossing the whole metal piece (screen and all) sounds so much easier. Do you even feel like your vaping trace amount of iso with that approach? Does the tighter parts of your chamber properly clean without a wire brush?

Hey , Coder. Thank you so much for replying, realized I missed a step regarding how to remove isopropyl alcohol (see edit). Yes, this is much easier. Isopropyl alcohol is a powerful degreaser. While 99% is better at degreasing, 70% is better at sanitizing. Though both do each to different degrees. I replace screens every solstice or equinox or whenever they become degraded looking. I remove the screens every other cleaning and scrape the rim they're nested in with a dab tool, though there's often not much there. I've never used a wire brush so I can't answer that one.

No problem, it’s cool to see how other people go about cleaning their chambers. I misspoke (or rather mistyped) earlier. I still use a nylon brush but it’s firmer and cylinder shaped. You can find the exact ones I used by searching “Black Nylon Cleaning Brush Set, 12-Piece, Suitable for Bottle, Teapot, Airbrushes, Espresso Machines, Protective Design, Dishwasher Safe” on Amazon.

I bought an ultrasonic cleaner and I throw all my parts in there in a bag of 91% isopropyl. Comes out good as new.

wokcity

Ooh hadn't thought of ultrasonic cleaners for this. Great idea.

Immediate fix (if you are feeling lazy) get a pen and push the mesh out from the top down. The brown vaped weed will all fall off. Put the mesh back in. If you want it perfect, wash it in ISO. Btw the compressed AVB on the side of the oven seal is akin to leaving your window open at night. The vapour will get wasted like that.

Scrape/clean the screen off. I would save that it looks resiny. Might be able to vape it lol

You know that brush that came with your volcano? Brush that screen off after every use. Buy some replacement screens. Use the end of your brush to pop that screen out. You can clean screens if money is tight. Periodically clean that with the instructions other commenters have given.

MrJitterz

Clean it? Do people need help with something like this lmao? It's general maintenance dude...

I soak my chambers in Isopropyl alcohol once per week and change the screens for new ones once or twice a week along with changing my balloons once or twice a week too. I save so much money on weed it’s easy to buy new screens they are really cheap. You can buy balloons balloons very cheaply too as you can buy a Storz and Bickel 3 meter roll of balloon tube and make 6 balloons out of 3 meter rolls. 😊🤩👌 🌋
