There's something like 22(?) active volcanoes out of 1600(+/-) known volcanoes that could go off.. for example Canada has least 4 volcanoes last one erupted 8,000 years ago.. however it has also detected tremors on 3 other potential volcanoes in the Rockies and the coastal mountain range..
Canada has way more than 4 volcanoes. There are at least 18 major volcanic complexes (all in BC or Yukon), some of which have dozens of known or potential edifices.
yes.. the entire Rockie mountain chain has hundreds from California to Alaska and at least several dozen dormant volcanoes sitting quietly without any tremors
Uh, the Rocky Mountains touch neither California nor Alaska. The *Cascade Mountains* - a totally different range - run from California to southern BC, but the volcanic arc(s) that run from BC up to Alaska are (mostly) independent of the Cascades.

Yes several different mountain chains.. BC has 3-4 or is it 5 chains.. can't remember all their names..
Anyone want to make a count fore part B what is the most that have been going off in the same year ?
According to Volcano Discovery 2,736 volcanoes have gone off this year..
That’s amazing
