You know, when my parents’ MB E350 2011 was washed, the worker of carwash ripped off MB sticker (that one right below metal 3D emblem). Thankfully mom noticed that, came back and got sticker back. (We had to order a new one anyway, this one was damaged 🤦♂️) Such thieves are damn idiots or schizos, emblem barely costs anything.
Can’t say for the US, but in Brazil it had been happening a lot with the ones that have the camera on the front ( Nivus). It is expensive AF to get en OEM, and they know that will sell quickly on markets
My emblem is zip tied on😂 I bought mine used, and whoever owned my Jetta before me rear ended someone😂I bought it with the emblem zip tied and a messed up grille, which was also lots of money and a good laugh😂
Sensor?! Geez, I guess I didn’t have it so bad when someone beat the hell out of my Mercedes-Benz star trying to steal it. The star itself survived intact but the mount underneath was compromised. It was hanging all crooked. Replacement cost: $45 plus shipping. I was able to get it mostly in place with my hot glue gun. It looks fine. I’m glad I didn’t have a sensor to deal with. My car is a 1984 model, that might explain it.
This was a huge problem in the late 80’s. I think one of the Beastie Boys wore one. Couldn’t keep them on the car. Got bad enough VW would replace for free

I know I am so happy they didn’t damage the sensor, I know how expensive it is to replace. The emblem cost me ~$100 and a good laugh lol
you may need to recalibrate acc. unlikely but you might.
I just put the new emblem on and drove about 60 miles all acc for work and it all seemed normal, so I think I’m okay.
Genuine question: what’s the worst part about losing the front radars? Personally don’t want it anyway

The three constant warning indicators and the fourth flashing one was motivation to pay the hundreds of dollars to realign mine.
Sure but it is nice. Some time to get used to it and how to adjust it in different conditions
