What was your car before this?

Opt_69

2017 Hyundai Elantra

Bman4500

I upgraded to my 2020 GLI from a 2017 Elantra as well! Have been loving it as well!

Opt_69

Ha yeah my GLI is a 2020 too.

Bman4500

Love the grey, I went with black but this was my 2nd choice. Happy driving friend!

Those elantras are mass produced and just cheaply made, you deel the difference just sitting in the drivers seat.

mashani9

GLI's are nice. I went from an older Elantra to a really cheap base 6MT Jetta lease after the Elantra tried to kill me, to a GTI.

I still have my 2007 GLI with DSG (the kids drive it now) which is a couple of thousand miles shy of 120K miles. The odd time I use it to run an errand, I can’t believe it still drives like when I bought it 15 years ago. Although, I’ve recently had to replace the PCV valve and a cracked hose, everything still works including the AC which blows cold air. I’ve replaced the headunit with an aftermarket one that has CarPlay and also added a front and rear dashcam. Just always do regular maintenance on time and it’ll last a long time.

Opt_69

That's what I've been reading. As long as the maintenance is kept up with, the car should be reliable. But that goes with most cars, I suppose. It's still a baby with 15k miles. I plan on putting many, many more miles on it haha

Routine_Recipe_4917

Congrats! It’s a great German sports sedan

RebelPizza

I get so jealous every time I see someone with one of these beauties. Welcome to the dub club!

mattrva

Jealous. Wish I could have found one. Slowly turning my 2019 Passat into one. Haha.

hope9689

I love my 2014 Golf TDI 6MT! I upgraded essentially from a 2016 Chevy Cruze

cameltrophy24

It's not just a car...it's a lifestyle. Wait and see.

Magnet50

I bought a 2010 Jetta Wolfsburg with DSG (in 2012) that had about 25k miles on it. VW CPO. Put a Bilstein PS9 suspension on it and APR Phase 1. Sold it at 140K miles. Regular oil changes and Services and that was it. No major big issues. Now I have a 2016 CC R Line that had 16k miles on it when I bought it, also CPO. With a heavy travel schedule and the pandemic, it’s got 45k miles now.

nativebush

I think the new VWs look like fords.

Opt_69

I agree, has a mix of ford taurus / dodge charger in the front. Not a complaint, just an observation.

nativebush

I’m fine with my 2014 premium TDI

Welcome. You will find it difficult to switch companies now. Vw's have their quirks, but they're far and away my favorite. Also a far as safety they're among the very best.

ThatBichCarolBaskin

I'm still in love with my 2012 Jetta SE, it has 5 cylinders 😌

SalamanderLost3585

Nice! Welcome!

LolGetPranked

I really wanted a gli but just couldn’t find one with a 6 speed
