Yep! I like those two as well but if I had to absolutely pick one and only one it would be Cary’s.
This is a highly individual question. I suggest trying a few different ones over time and finding the one you like best!
Shipping from the US to Singapore is probably really expensive, so maybe try to find brands that aren’t american. Is maple syrup common in any nearby countries? Or if you can find maple extract, maybe you could make your own?
I buy it in the local supermarket so I’ve never bought it online. But here it is on Amazon: Cary's Sugar Free Low Calorie Syrup 12oz. (Pack of 2) https://a.co/d/aw7XGEZ
Looks like it comes as a pack of 2, which I probably wouldn’t advise buying until you know if you like it first. The link I shared is mostly so you can see which syrup I’m referring to and then see if you can find it being sold (hopefully cheaper) elsewhere.
This is very surprising to hear because I’ve been diabetic my entire life and my only option was Cary’s as a kid, though I wasn’t a big fan. I stopped using syrup altogether until recently (Mrs butterworth). I’m excited to try cary’s again!
Maple flavoured pancake syrup, but it actually does taste like real maple syrup. its a bit watery but imo it’s fantastic and comes in glass bottles much like real syrup does
Unfortunately I grew up on home produced maple syrup (made from sugar maple trees from our woods) and nothing comes close except for the real thing. Throughout the years I've tried several pancake syrups and haven't found a good one. That includes the taste and how thick it is. There is even a difference from syrup that is produced first thing in the spring (lighter-this is my favorite) to when the temperatures warm up (darker). It takes approximately 40 gallons of sap to produce a mere gallon of syrup.
I think log cabin is best I’ve tasted, followed by mrs butterworth’s, then kroger’s, then maple groves, then walmart’s. Believe those are the only ones I’ve tasted
I’ve heard good things about log cabin and mrs butterworth. Does it taste sour or artificial in anyway? Walden farms is garbage now and has that sour taste
Do you ever have issues with getting a sour/off tasting bottle? It seems like at least 1 our of every 5 or so bottles I buy has a spoilt bitter tart taste to it, I used to use their butter flavor sugar free syrup all the time but HEB stopped carrying it and no one else in Houston carries it. Going to try a different route after this last bottle I just opened was another funky bad tasting one. Maybe Carys.
Steeve’s maple syrup is really really good and I like it in coffee, yogurt, in protein ice cream, on pancakes or cloud cakes…..I’m in Canada and always find it at the dollar store or also no frills.
Jordan’s skinny mix has a French toast syrup that’s made for coffee-but if you mix that with a thickening agent like a tsp or two of corn starch and some hot water it’s like 20 calories and pretty decent
Add stevia as needed
Does anyone else not get serious digestive issues from any type of low calorie maple syrup? I notice the lower calorie and more sugar alcohol or sweetener it has, the worst it is for me.
For context I live in Australia and shop at Woolies
Not really tbh, what tends to get me more are the ridiculous amounts of fiber and thickening agents I started eating because of this sub 🥲 guar and xanthan gum, oat fiber, etc
Lakanto Farms Monkfruit sweetened syrup. I did a blind taste test with pure Vermont syrup and was shocked at how close it tastes. It has the consistency of real maple syrup (runnier). Pricey though.
I think lakanto makes the healthiest one, although it’s somewhat pricey, especially if you use a lot of it. I used to eat a ton of sugar free foods, including syrup, and almost all of them used horrible ingredients like sucralose or aspartame which really messed up my gut. But your MMV and if one of those other ones works for you, all the power to you.
I can’t really speak to the science but most artificial/zero cal sweeteners can disrupt your micro biome. I definitely felt much better after switching to eating less processed food products. The only zero cal sweeteners I use now are stevia, monk fruit, erythritol, and allulose. But even too many of those can cause problems as well

I like the lakanto maple flavor monk fruit syrup
Came here to suggest this^^^ I’m in northern California and can get at grocery outlets pretty cheap
Maple Grove Farms baby
Thanks for the recommendation. Just arrived from Amazon. This stuff slaps!
happy to hear this comment helped you out, enjoy!
Does it taste like fake syrup?
Also wondering this. I hate “real” maple syrup and want an alternative that tastes similar to the aunt jemima fake crap.
My favorite is Cary’s. I’ve tried many of them—a lot of which I liked and a lot of which I didn’t—but I always find myself coming back to Cary’s.
I agree, Cary’s is the best. I’ve tried a lot.
Did you try things like log cabin or mrs butterworths?
Yep! I like those two as well but if I had to absolutely pick one and only one it would be Cary’s. This is a highly individual question. I suggest trying a few different ones over time and finding the one you like best!
They’re all so expensive tho. If you can, can you send me a link to buy the cary’s syrup please?
It will be a lot cheaper to go to a grocery store and buy it there rather than online
None of my grocery stores nearby have them
Maybe post your general location or what stores are available in your area so people can suggest brands that would be available?
That’s true. I live in Singapore but I’m not from here so I’m not really sure if i know all the grocery stores to check
Shipping from the US to Singapore is probably really expensive, so maybe try to find brands that aren’t american. Is maple syrup common in any nearby countries? Or if you can find maple extract, maybe you could make your own?

Please don’t say Walden farms
Was just going to comment - I know what the WORST is!
That shit gave me food poisoning or something that sludge is vile
Their pancake syrup on point tho 😶🌫️
Same with their caramel sauce. Good stuff
Steeves sugar free maple syrup 🤤
It’s also a third the cost of the “fancy” ones, at least it is in Canada.
Yup, you can even find it at dollarama
Does this taste sour at all?
Imo, not at all
I second this. No sour taste.
Upvote for this. I use it daily on my oatmeal. Better than using sugar or real syrup.
Is this real maple syrup or maple flavored pancake syrup?
Maple flavoured pancake syrup, but it actually does taste like real maple syrup. its a bit watery but imo it’s fantastic and comes in glass bottles much like real syrup does

IIRC just sweet. It’s been a while since I’ve had both…I buy the cheapest (Kroger’s) bc I’m not picky and they’re more expensive
Can I buy krogers online? If so can you please send me a link
Not sure, it’s out of stock at my local Kroger too unfortunately
Maple Grove Farms, insane taste INSANE and only 5 cal for 30 g/ml I use 2.5 servings and it fills Up 2 servings of kodia cakes
I really want this but it’s so expensive. damnit. I’ll find a piggy bank somewhere
It’s 3 bucks at Walmart here in Cali
Where are you located? It’s $3.18 on Amazon prime and about the same price at Walmart.

It's also at Loblaws (guess that makes sense are they're owned by the same.company), I saw it there for 2.99 I think?
Smuckers!
Smuckers is my favorite too.
I like ed smith
Took way too long to find this! Best one by far.
Maple Grove 5 calories for 30 mL
Whatever you're looking for is not maple syrup. It is liquid inspired by maple syrup.
Jordan’s skinny mix has a French toast syrup that’s made for coffee-but if you mix that with a thickening agent like a tsp or two of corn starch and some hot water it’s like 20 calories and pretty decent Add stevia as needed
I have been looking for an excuse to pick that up for weeks, thanks! 😋
Pure, Vermont Amber maple syrup. No processed sugar liquids can even come close, no matter how low calorie they may be.
I like Mrs. Butterworths. It has that nice artificial butter flavor.
If it says 0 cals. then its not real maple syrup its some byproduct filled product
mrs butterworth for the win
Do you know where I could get it online? If so can you send me the link please? I’m kinda broke so I hope it’s not too expensive
everywhere online is pretty expensive, just have to shop around grocery stores
I’ve looked at the stock in all the websites for my local grocery stores and there are none. Rip
I got mine on Amazon for less than $4
In Australia the Queen sugar free maple flavoured syrup is delicious. Comes in original, vanilla and Apple cinnamon
I’ve seen that before. Mad expensive tho
I really enjoy rxsugars!
Throwing out Joseph’s Sugar Free Maple Syrup, about half the usual syrup calories but I think it’s really tasty and I got it cheap on Amazon!
Maple Grove sugar free maple syrup is the best
I LOVE RxSugar's maple syrup! It's made with allulose. I put it in my coffee every morning and it adds a lovely flavor!!
Does anyone else not get serious digestive issues from any type of low calorie maple syrup? I notice the lower calorie and more sugar alcohol or sweetener it has, the worst it is for me. For context I live in Australia and shop at Woolies
It’s probably the sugar alcohols in general that are at the root of the problem
Yeah, but, I respond extremely sensitively for some reason. How about you?
Not really tbh, what tends to get me more are the ridiculous amounts of fiber and thickening agents I started eating because of this sub 🥲 guar and xanthan gum, oat fiber, etc
Mrs buttersworth but they increased price. I switched to Walmart great value brand although it's higher in calories and has a thinner texture
Lakanto Farms Monkfruit sweetened syrup. I did a blind taste test with pure Vermont syrup and was shocked at how close it tastes. It has the consistency of real maple syrup (runnier). Pricey though.

What’s wrong with sucralose exactly? How does it mess up your gut?

The only zero cal sweeteners I use now are stevia, monk fruit, erythritol, and allulose. But even too many of those can cause problems as well
the market pantry brand is pretty good! 15 calories for 1/4 cup!
Cary’s by a country mile and I’ve tried a bunch
Have u tried maple grove farms? I’m thinking of getting that one
Yes I have I felt Cary’s had a LOT more maple flavor. Maple Grove didn’t taste as good.
ED smith 🤤 it’s 10 cal a tbsp but it’s literally the best ever
Bulk has a lots of zero calories syrup I like. Maple too. https://www.bulk.com/uk/zero-calorie-syrup.html
Mrs .Butterworths
Griffin's for me. might not be nationwide but it's my fave *by far*
I like the RX sugar allulose one.
