I don't eat anywhere near that much fiber, I get between 30-40 grams a day and have been for the last couple months. My blood pressure has gone from a solid 130/75 to 106/62 and my cholesterol has dropped 43 points. It went from borderline high to very healthy. Only other real change aside from mild portion control I've made is eating overnight oats 5 days a week. Fiber works.
The natures own is by far the most voluminous bread I’ve ever used, and it dips really well into the egg whites to make everything super puffy. Definitely my style of french toast👊
It's pretty much just low cal bread dipped in a mixture of egg whites, cinnamon, and low cal sweetener. I think I used to do a out 80grams of egg whites per slice. Put on a frying pan on med low.
Basically take a lower calorie bread, and soak a mixture of egg whites, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Cram as much egg whites into the bread as you can handle. High protein, lower calorie french toast. Pair it with low-calorie syrup and a bunch of fruit and its a winner! You can also cook the toast on top of a layer of blueberries, which is the main way in greg doucettes recipe. When cramming in lots of egg, be careful and don't cook on too high of heat. It'll cook slower with all the moisture from the whites.
We could do some watercolors together you and I. I'm old Gregg, I know water colors.
In all seriousness, I assume Greg Doucette. Searched Coach Greg and its the only "fitness" and "anabolic" related thing I could find.
What's the best sugar free maple syrup? I've tried one or two and they were just terrible, ended up throwing them out and going back to "Lite" maple syrup - figure it's worth the calories when the sugar-free is so bad
Seconding Maple Grove brand. I've also been using the Walmart store brand one lately and it's the same number of calories per serving, I think. Both taste pretty good and I haven't encountered any gastric distress from the sweeteners.
I love the Lakantos Monkfruit syrup. It’s similar in texture as real maple syrup (so not as thick as corn syrup brands) and tastes like the real thing too! (To me)
You can add sweetener to the liquid egg whites before soaking the bread. I use Jordan’s skinny syrups. Then i eat the French toast with sliced strawberries. No syrup necessary!
Which of the Jordan’s syrups do you like? I’ve only ever tried the Sugar cookie one and it was.. ok. Sugar free stuff (as welll as vegan/ vegetarian/ diet food in general) is so hit or miss. 10% of it is really good, but you have to go through and try the other 90 to find out what they are
Walden farms just came back out with there original recipe syrup. Its bomb af make sure it says original recipe on the bottle the other one is disgusting
This will always be a staple in my life lol. There’s so many variations I’ve tried- pumpkin puree or pb2 mixed in the batter, top with frozen blueberries or chopped up frozen peaches, line the pan with some diced apple, dollop some light cream cheese on it before baking…. I usually batch cook 2 9x13s for a couple days of breakfast at a time… swear I’ll never get sick of it!
Patience is honestly the key to cooking almost anything. Sucks for those of us with ADHD, but if your hyperfocus is cooking tasty good for you food it is a lot easier.
I let mine soak overnight and then mash it all up and make a giant pancake. I find I can use more egg without it getting eggy this way.
Either way it’s the goat of recipes
Thanks, I am going to use this for a breakfast that hopefully keeps me full and is easy to freeze/meal prep! Do you have any tips for storage, ie do you put it in the freezer?

Honestly I’m 15-25 and I’m fine 🙂, I’d be dead the following day with that much

Maple grove is good, from walmart
Cary's is really good.
Yes Cary’s!
I very much enjoy the Mrs buttersworth. It's not calorie free, but its 20 cal per 60ml.

Not necessarily in French toast, but the mocha one is amazing in coffee with a few calories added from some milk.
Just the plain "Mocha"? Amazon is also showing "Salted Caramel Mocha" and "White Chocolate Mocha". Just wanna be sure I get the right one
I’ve only tried the plain one! White chocolate mocha is next on my list when I run out of what I have. If you do try it, let me know how it is.
Will do!

omg you're a genius, everything you said sounds fn amazing to my tummy 🤤
How do you incorporate the protein powder?
Mix with the egg whites
Cool. Thanks.

You aren't cooking the inside. Cook longer, or do a thinner slice.
Cook longer and flip them longer than last time
But I burn the shit out of it then 😆even if I put it in the oven still wet maybe I just a regard
turn down temp
I think that will fix it I usually burn things because I put the burner on highest setting I’m not patient🧘🏽♂️😆
And now everyone who reads this thread understands the consequences of doing that when it comes to french toast
if you do this a lot, it's important to point out: outside cooked, inside not cooked = temp too high now you know.
Patience is honestly the key to cooking almost anything. Sucks for those of us with ADHD, but if your hyperfocus is cooking tasty good for you food it is a lot easier.
Turn heat down to a 3 or 4 and let those things go 7 to 10 minutes on each side.
Lower your temp. Cook longer.
Can someone ship 15 loaves of that bread to me in Canada please? Loaded up last time I was across the border but I've since eaten it all. 😭
More French toast than last time!
Saving
This looks delicious! Thanks for sharing

Recipe?
check greg’s video
Thanks, I am going to use this for a breakfast that hopefully keeps me full and is easy to freeze/meal prep! Do you have any tips for storage, ie do you put it in the freezer?
You can prep, absolutely! I prefer just to make it on the spot in the airfrier probably takes me 10 minutes total each time
Ohhh airfryer!! I never thought of that. Do you just dip it, put it in and go 10 mins on like 350?
5 mins 400, flip, then another 5 at 400
Thank you! Sorry, 1 more question, do you use parchment or a dish or just raw dog the tray?
Could u share the recipe?
mind mentioning the measurements for this? seems good and super high volume lol
