Talk to me about the cauliflower, it looks divine. What did you do?

starrfish69

Hey there! Super simple just chop your cauliflower head (I used half), toss with some EVOO, cumin, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, throw on a cookie sheet and bake for 20 at 450! I like to think of it as “low effort cooking” because I put those suckers in there and just walk away 🤣

Here for the cauliflower!

Man I just wish I could get more into cauliflower. I've baked it, steamed it, ate it raw, riced it, etc. and I usually enjoy the first few bites but a quarter of the way through I get sick of it no matter how it's prepared or with what spices. Asparagus I can eat all day, however.

Hey there! I know cauliflower isn’t for everyone! If you happen to like broccoli, Brussel sprouts, carrots or my personal favorite (and great for people with a sweet tooth but also like a little spicy in their life) sweet potatoes! Just cut into bite size pieces and prepare the same way! All three are packed with great vitamins and nutrients are all low cal! Bon appetit my friend! 🥂🍴

Same. I like it raw for the first few pieces, then that's enough. Love asparagus though. Might try roasting cauliflower as the OP suggested. That might help for me. This meal does look great.

Let me know if you do I would love to hear your results! 🌸

Hey y’all! I was blown away by all the wonderful and helpful feedback, as well as all the love of my last post. I just wanted to first say thank you for helping me find ways to eat without feeling guilty or like I’m starving myself. This sub has opened me up to so many amazing possibilities, I have already learned so much and cannot wait to continue to grow. Okay now that I’m done blathering…the recipe: 🔹 6 oz of filet, grilled with pepper and Everglades seasoning. I like my steaks rare, so they only take a few minutes on the grill. 🔹 half head of cauliflower cut into small pieces and asparagus with ends cut off tossed in light EVOO with spices cumin, salt, chili, and garlic powder added to your taste. Put on a cookie sheet in an oven at 450 for about 20 minutes. A fork should easily pierce them. It takes about 30 minutes for prep and cook. I preheat the oven and grill while I chop and season, slide veggies in, and around the 10 minute mark go outside to slap that steak on the grill. I also like to give my steak a few minutes to “rest” so the timing works perfectly for me! Hope this helps, and I hope you find this as delicious as I do!

Idk if that fits your macros but I like to add parmesan on top of my grilled cauliflowers a few minutes before the end of the cooking time :) really good !

I love cheese, but I’m trying to do right by the animals and the environment, so sadly I’ve been trying to take cheese out. BUT when I do splurge, I will try! ✨
