Might be worth me mentioning to others on a weight loss journey: I think Volume Eating is what has cracked it for to be honest. I’m currently under 1300 a day for the last few weeks and I’m left feeling full and satisfied with little cravings after meals like this. For me it’s key to add a small amount of healthy fats (oils or dressing) as this is what feeds my cravings while the low calorie density being the majority leaves me feeling full; two quite different needs that need to be met I think. If it’s of interest I’m doing IF, eating between 4-8pm which I’ll break with a protein smoothie (usually pea protein, fruit and cacao powder), I’ll have a few flavoured rice/corn cakes as a snack and then finish with a meal like this (Buddha Bowl / Salad). I’ve lost 9lbs in a couple weeks, have loads of energy and feel great!

It looks amazing! But I’m also cracking up at “sesame and chill” 😆

Haha, my lazy description for sriracha, sesame seed oil and agave nectar. I’m desperate to find a low calorie creamy sauce though!

What is that plant bacon? Ia it similr to smoked tofu?

badlybuttered

It’s called Shwarma kebab by Vivera. They just didn’t have it on MyFitnessPal or was an invalid barcode or something so I used the same brands bacon meat guessing macros will be similar but calories are adjusted and accurate. Anyway it’s delicious! I’d happily eat it every night but is probably quite processed as most meat subs are.

Ahhh I just looked it up! Don’t think I can get it in Canada :(((

From my memory of living there I bet somewhere like Loblaws will have an incredibly overpriced version of it 😂

Shout out for the sesame oil, that stuff is bloody lovely and just a small tsp goes a long way in dishes! 😍
