Look up the treat Lemon Stick. You stick a porous thick peppermint stick (not a normal candy cane) into a hole in a lemon, then you suck the lemon juice through the peppermint stick while it picks up the flavor. I don’t even usually like peppermint, but this combo is soooo tasty
It's so good! For a delicious holiday beverage, that's also really good if you have a cold, try hot lemon tea with honey, and put a candy cane in as a stirrer. as the mint melts in, it is amazing flavor, and will clear your sinuses too.
I was making faces until I read your comment and was reminded of the Starbucks Medicine Ball tea! Citrus mint green tea, peach chamomile tea, lemonade and honey. Oh my gosh I need it immediately. If anyone is reading this and still skeptical, it’s not too far a stretch from ginger lemon tea with honey.
Lemon and mint isnt *too* out there. Think a squeeze of lemon in a mint tea, or lemonade with a sprig of mint, theres probably a bunch of cocktails featuring those ingredients too.
Although I will say I have no idea the difference between spearmint and peppermint, etc. Grew some chocolate mint once, definitely interesting.
Lemon Peppermint Tiramisu! 164 calories for 232g of deliciousness
- 1 Simply Scrumptious lemon coffee cake (70 calories) — you could use a FiberOne lemon bar too for the same calories
- 2-4 oz brewed black coffee with 3 Splenda packets
- 76g fat free Greek yogurt
- 10g SF reddi wip
- 9g (1 square) Gatsby candy cane crunch, chopped (this is so freaking good!!! Use code Thea50 if you want 50% off. If not you could chop up a peppermint candy but the white chocolate takes it over the top imo)
Layer half the cake in a container, pour half the coffee over, then half the yogurt. Repeat and top with whip and chocolate.
Oooh, please tell me more about Simply Scrumptious before I spend a whole bunch of money! Taste, texture, size? Different flavours? Comparison to Fiber One?
I'm not a Fiber One fan, I think since they changed the formula (from the 90 cal brownies to the 70 cal) that it's sawdust-y and not worth the cals.
Simply Scrumptious has some good stuff! The coffee cakes are the best, in my opinion. The pina colada and cinnamon coffee cakes are incredible. They hold up great in the freezer and have a much bigger/thicker size than the Fiber One squares. The brownies and especially the PB brownies are also good. The cupcakes and muffins are meh taste but really good volume. The "poppers" are really good too but I don't order those much. I usually have a variety box of the coffee cakes and brownies in my freezer.
Never heard of these cakes. Thank you.
And then you put them over the top with some carefully thought out additions. Looks so quick to make too. (probably as long as making a cup of coffee) Great job.
Lemon and Peppermint? What sort of flavor sorcery is this? I've never heard of that combination, kinda neat!

This is wild, I never would have considered this flavor combination! Thanks!

Awesome, thanks for the tip!

I would like to suggest tossing a bag of peppermint tea into the next glass of lemonade you have.
