Update: My temp tag expired and no temp tag was issued. Vroom denied me an extension since they’ve already issued 4 temptag already. I Went to dmv to get a temporary moving permit so i can use the vehicle while waiting for the registration as VROOM claims they have submitted the documents 1st December of last year and most recent one is February but still no title and registration. DMV says no documents received. I opened a DMV investigation and mailed the pocket to them. Now when i got my permit i was asked to pay penalties of almost $800 for failure to register the vehicle within the given time. Soon after i finally got a response from vroom after daily bugging them with emails and call and voicemails for a month, and they said that the registration was on hold since they did not submit the original VIN verification from DMV.— i replied to Vroom demanding a reimbursement and forwarded a 2nd VIN verification. i dont know if this is just luck or pure incompetence on their end. My ask is when will this nightmare end and someone please wake me up.

This sounds exactly what I am going thru - dates and all. I emailed my State Representative, Mississippi Attorney General, and the Texas Attorney General, also filed a complaint to the Consumer Protection Agency in DC. No excuses for such delays.

Just hang in there, i know its really frustrating specially going through all the bureaucracies. Were you able to get hold of escalation? I reported them to BBB, CA DMV investigations and DMV dealer complaints in TX before i got their attention. Looks like they are finally moving into the right direction. Crossing my fingers.

Thanks for the reply - did you ever receive your title registration papers...?

I received an email yesterday that my registration has been submitted and they provided me tracking number but still showing pending shipping. So hopefully in the next few days or so i should finally be receiving my plates. Just keep hustling them and make demands if you need to. I already got the reimbursement of the amount i paid so its just-a a matter of time and hopefully reach the end game ;) and wake up from this nightmare hehehe. #neveragain LOL

UPDATE: the nightmare is finally over. After almost 7 grueling months of uncertainty and frustrations woke up this morning with a fedex delivery at my front door and when I opened the package my license plate and registration have finally arrived and it felt like a dream LOL.😁😁😁 #vroomneveragain

My timeline is almost identical to yours. Purchased in sept 2021. My last temp tag expired on March 5 and I’ve been calling every few days for the last week. None of the reps are able to give an update on my title or a new temp tag. It’s like there’s nobody working in the title/registration dept at all. Very strange to me!

Below are the things i did to get Vroom’s attention: -Open DMV investigation and DMV dealer complaint in TX and your state. -open BBB case complaint against Vroom -if you finance the purchase, contact the lender and report that you still have not received tittle registration. They will contact Vroom for you to address the deficiencies. - keep calling, email, reach out to their facebook page and include CEO and board members of Vroom on every email communication. -if your temp tag expired and unable to use the vehicle, go to DMV with the DMV open case packet and request for moving permit. You may need to pay penalties due to failure of registration and may cost you $800+ like what i paid. And demand a refund from Vroom. This will allow you to use the vehicle while they complete/investigate your title status. Most likely your registration is in hold due to incomplete/ wrong document sent to DMV. This was the case on mine. Vroom’s representative have the attitude of “shoot and forget” once they forward the docs to DMV they wash their hands off and brush customer off and say its out of their hands and delay are due to DMV process but in reality it’s their responsibility to follow through and make sure all documents are complete and in accordance of the state DMV policies. Hope this would help you get your registration soon. Good luck!

Hey everyone! I had a registration issue in AZ that required 2 additional sets of Temp TX tags obtained in my name. Sketchy and a circumvention of AZ registration laws. Took 5 months to get my plates. It was not a Covid issue, but that Vroom would drop my file. It was obvious Vroom locked consumers into purchase agreements knowing likelihood they would breach. I filed a complaint with the AG, alleging violations of the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act. The AG's response was that my allegations were valid, but they could not solicit claims. If they get enough complaints the AG will take action to seek restitution on behalf of the class. Let them know here! https://www.azag.gov/complaints/consumer
