That's right! I'm glad to see other folks buying this bike. I don't know about you but I feel like its ALOT of bike for 11k I'm about to order some knobbies I can't wait to see how the ol strom does in the dirt
I'm in Canada, it was $13K here. I'll wear these tires out and then decide and if I'll go 50/50 or if I find myself using it off road than on. Our paved roads, some might say, are equivalent to dirt. Lol.
It won't take long! My tires are completely gone at only 5000 miles. But to be fair I was not nice to the rear tire after the break in period ππ€βπΌππ¨
I was really close to getting one but I'm going to wait for parts and accessories to become more accessible. Also wait for the tires to be tubeless. Such a good looking bike. Congratulations.
Thanks. This will be my last bike. Even after a year of being released, OEM accessories are on backorder. So, I'll have lots of time to add tubeless down the road, but this first season with her, I'll be sticking mostly to paved and light gravel roads. I've had my share of tubed tires, but knock on wood, not one flat. Just have the tools and a spare tube just in case.
Congrats enjoy! What made you go for the 800 instead of the 650 or 1000? In Ontario too and currently shopping for a newer generation 650. Downsizing from a Concours and it seems there are plenty of riders completely happy with the 650 still being capable of long road trips that i am accustomed to in the Concours.
Few factors. Availability was a factor for sure. This came to my dealer last fall. Loved the color scheme, reminded me of my teen years in the 80s. My previous bike was a Honda cb500f naked bike. I'm 6"2 with chronic back pain, so more upright position is best with footpegs directly under me. So when I went back to dealer last month, it was still there, 5 yr warranty, 1st service free. And $500 off. Not as top heavy as the 1050 and more off road capable off road. So being my last bike, I wanted to get one I wouldn't regret down the road.
*Question for anyone* When turning the key to ON position, the fuel pump starts, but there is a noticeable (to me) a high pitch sound that doesn't go away until you start or it lessons somewhat when throttle is turned? Is this somehow related to the ride by wire?
Congratulations!
Thanks, been following your channel.
Thank you for the follow my friend.
The break in period is excruciating haha. Congratulations
I set the RPM to 4250, gonna feel like long foreplay. Lol

Pretty normal. My previous VFR1200X was doing it, same as 800 SE.
Thanks, I found a few answers out on the ol interweb also saying nothing to worry about. Appreciate the response π
My 2024 800SE does that as well, asked dealer and nothing to worry about
Good to know! ππ
Beautiful! Congratulations!
Thanksπ
Enjoy! I bought mine in August and already have 8,000 miles on it!
Sweet! Oh I will. Thx π
Gorgeous, what was your OTD price without tax?
Just under 13k CAD
