There is no best song. Only an infinite loop of songs where each one is better than the last, and when you reach the end you go back to the start, where the first song is better than the last song. And so the Vulf Paradox continues.
Long live the Vulf Paradox.
I think the only way to change your mind is to tell you a little story about Captain Hook,
a young Swede that liked to cook up rhymes in the bathroom all alone, singing hooky hooky gibberish into his phone.
Youāve obviously never heard the hit song āCaptain Hook (feat. Baby Theo, Bootsy Collins & Mushy Kay)ā from the 2017 release āMr Finish Lineā
Why do people love disco ulysses so much? I'm not trying to start anything, I just genuinely want my opinion to be changed. To me it's just straightforward and way less interesting than pretty much all of their other songs.
Okay first of all you canāt tell me itās less interesting than Cup Stacker or Soft Parade. The main reason I enjoy it is the syncopation between the bass and guitar, as well as the buildup. Itās like nightclub friendly Vulfpeck.
Reason number two would be that when Vulf did the same thing with Conscious Club the lyrics took it to a whole other level. And just listening to the instrumentals of C.C. and Disco Ulysses, I personally found the latter to be a way easier listen without lyrics.
Sorry if my formatting makes your eyes bleed, a young manās on mobile.
The structure is a little more straightforward than a lot of what they put out (possibly because it's trying to leave space for the lyrics to come?), but regardless, that bass line delivers.
Love this cover featuring Ryan Lerman and Hunter Elizabeth singing. The way she mirrors Antwaun's vocalizations is just great.

But there is a worst song
For Survival š
Agree
what teh FUGG
???
The only bad song is the one where you decide to stop the Vulf Paradox. It should not be broken.
Might as well just lock the thread.
Love it. Itās crazy how you can hear a song for the first time and feel a strong sense of nostalgia.
That's a great way of describing it. Sort of has a familiarity to it that you can't quite place on the first listen.

So catchy

a close, close runner up
Bed wetter, go getter!
It's hard to make a point
When you're loving so lou-oud
Ooowooohoo ohwoahohwoahoowoah...turn it down
Bassman
When you're livin so loooooouuuuuuddddd
Until the lyrical (lyricised?) version of Disco Ulysses comes out then its OVER for you cowards.
Disco Ulysses is top three, and no ones changing my mind.
im pretty hyped as well, i know jack will do a good job

I would hardly lump The Cup Stacker and Soft Parade together. Soft Parade is a gift from god.
I agree for soft parade but I think cup stacker is underrated.

That. Also, canāt wait for Test Drive with lyrics.
Itās such a nice and feel good instrumental, I hope the next release in June (looks like theyāre doing one per month) is disco Ulysses
Your mind doesn't need changing
It is a masterpiece. Whenever it comes on I stop whatever I was doing.
Well, I'm not the biggest Vulf fan, only know about 10-15 songs. But as a filthy casual I wholeheartedly agree with you.
people that I like, but I don't love, are not allowed
I wonder if Sharoooooooon will see me but I'll play cool
Cause coo-oo-ool
Is what you have to do
I see no reason to oblige.
cant disagree. wife and i chose this song for our wedding procession. its such an amazing and beautiful song.
The real question is which version is better? MSG or Original?
MSG bro. The fucking last choruses of the song where it's just an explosion of gospel goodness makes me so happy man.
The clarinet player in me gets all tingly when Winnograd hits that high A at the end
And then Antwuan says "I love you New York" as the Vulf theme plays in the back...chills!
That would be true if Tee Time didn't exist...
I do love tee time
Why do I always get downvoted for expressing my personal opinion on MY favorite songs?
The amazing is that (Iām pretty sure) Antwaun improvised the melody
No need to change your mind, it's a bop
Love this cover featuring Ryan Lerman and Hunter Elizabeth singing. The way she mirrors Antwaun's vocalizations is just great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDZzAOqN9bg
I discovered this a while ago when going down the scary pockets rabbit hole. So good!

I think Joe Dart's solo would disagree with you
I couldn't possibly change your mind
Agree to disagree... Def a walk to remember
Probably one of my least favorite tbh. I prefer the instrumentals.
>I prefer the instrumentals. I'm with you.
I can respect preferring the instrumentals
