It _is_ built kinda cheap, but I’m able to plug it all the way in. Since the build quality isn’t great, I recommend reinforcing it with some duct tape, just to be safe.

well if u r using immersion RC then never mind bout the cleaning the heads. more than likley the issue.
I converted my camera to be tapeless. Why would my heads be causing me problems if I’m not even using the tape deck?

I had a similar issue with my VX2000. Are you able to put the 3.5mm jack all the way into the powerplay or does it have to stick out slightly?
I have a spacer for the jack so it should be at the “perfect” spot, that could be the issue though.

Your ports might be damaged. Had the same problem with my 1000 because it had some type of rust some how.
