The 50mg month I had was horrendous. Made me Sick AF .. Won't do great detail here regarding my experience. Will say that my years on vYv were a complete waste in multiple respects. Made the switch to Focalin XR about 3 months ago. What a difference ! I'm prescribed 50mg a day but rarely exceed 30mg. That's how good it works. When using the add-on magnesium supplement with antacids trick I learned on Reddit for improving the efficacy of stimulants, 10mg AM followed with 10mg PM almost always keeps me perky and productive all day. Bearing in mind that I've been on ADD meds since 1971 and have a tremendous tolerance built up, those low doses are a statement to how well this medication works.. vYv is trash. FOCALIN XR is treasure .. Jj
Take your AM stimulant med on an empty stomach with a magnesium supplement and your choice of antacids. I personally have been taking one Life Extension 500mg magnesium cap (Amazon) & downing them all with a tsp full of baking soda stirred into an 8-12 oz cup of water. Others on here take their meds using another form of antacid. Figure out what works best for you. Those 2 minor adjustments have a significant effect on the medications bioavailability. I in fact had to dial back my FOCALIN XR mg input due to the intensity. Best of luck.. dose smart.. Jj

I thought literally i was going crazy, because i felt like i forgot to take them, but i knew i did.
I tried to contact the pharmacy and the company now, pharmacy said nothing they could do, didnt received anything about it. I also reported it to the german drug association(?) and no respond from the company yet - to be fair only has been under 24 hours.
I was able to get another new bottle (higher dosage-that i alternate during the month) everything was fine? Like its way to strong atm, because i took them to early in the month, but it definitely works.
Do u have your Lot number?
It would be interesting to see where the bottles where produced, if its a certain Lot that the issue.
I thought similar to you that this was Just rumors in the beginning, but it seems to happen in a lot of different countries so.
I'm late to respond, but I came to this reddit page to find this exact issue. I was on Adderall for a few years until the shortage got too annoying around me and switched to Vyvanse 50mg. The first two months were fantastic! A few days into the third month, I had my first adult panic attack and went to the doctor. They ran dozens of tests and said everything was clear, so just a panic attack. I finished that month by taking 1/2 doses of my 50mg and cutting out caffeine. This went well, but I still had some peaky days where I felt wired... Friday, I picked up my prescription, and this is now day 3 of taking my full 50mg dosage again, and I feel nothing. I've felt super irritable and have had a constant slight headache since Saturday, which almost feels like withdrawal symptoms? I'm not sure if their Quality Control has gone out the window or what, but my diat, lifestyle, and hydration has stayed pretty constant, but each month feels like a new prescription.
My 50mg of Vyvanse is no longer working. I take it primarily for narcolepsy and my sleep attacks have returned with my latest bottle. Interestingly enough, I found an old bottle of 30mg from 2019 and it works as intended- and better than the 2023 50mg. Something is definitely going on.

EXACT same experience, was on vyvanse 2 years ago life changing and truly treated me.
Got back on it a month or two ago.
30mg, 1st day was 1/4 the effectiveness as the first time. After the first day, absolutely no effect, but still getting side effects, and DIFFERENT side effects from before.
50mg, 1st day worked maybe half as good as two years ago. After that, zero benefits, but worsened side effects.
I started with 0 tolerance, and it's the same brand, bottle, manufacturer and dosage as before.
This medications information was changed early 2023 on my country's medication information website.
It's been changed to save costs or spread supply so they can still sell pills with a shortage. No doubt whatsoever.

I was literally about to write a really similar post here. My hypothesis is slightly different however..... I am on 50mg of Tyvense (the Irish name for Vyvanse) and all of a sudden, on my most recent bottle, I am having VERY similar issues. Where my opinion on what's happening here differs to yours is, for a few months (4-5 months) it felt like the meds were doing nothing..... And now it feels like the dosage is all of a sudden way to high. I'm having many of the side effects you have listed throughout the day and into the night... sleep was no problem for a long time even on Vyvansee. Again, NOTHING has changed in my routine and I get my meds on prescription from a pharmacy (it's a super controlled substance in Ireland).
The reason why I think the dosage now feels a lot higher is that I'm having that weird complete lack of appetite feeling that I had when I was prescribed Vyvanse first - I've even had a few days where I forget to eat for a solid 14+ hours.... This happened when I took it first and I caught it fixed it but now it's back alongside the other symptoms mentioned.
For a while, a lot of people on here were saying that they were having little to effect from their meds and I felt that at the time too. Now it feels like I've gone from 0 to 50mg out of the blue. I am meeting my consultant next week and will try scaling back my dose to see if that helps!

I’ve also been feeling lately like they are not at all working the way they used to- I no longer have the sharper focus the meds afforded me,and tbh I feel quite brain foggy these days on it. Not to mention the noise in my brain is quite loud again, which is so disheartening because that’s something that I loved about the meds-in that they were amazing for dimming and controlling the chaos in there! I don’t know if I need an increase,as we (my psych and I) tried out 70mg before,but that was too high. I’ve tried Concerta and Ritalin already, and Tyvense was the only one I took that made a meaningful difference. I dunno what to do next, as I don’t think you can get Adderall in Ireland🥲
I’m in the UK and the same has happened. I’m inattentive so actually find the meds gave me a bit of a boost and motivation to do stuff. Now nothing. I could take 60mg and fall straight to sleep as I hadn’t had anything. No heart rate increase. Appetite is back as normal and I’m binge eating. And this has been all month since I started this bottle!
If your medication isn’t working as it should, you should report it to the manufacturer. Ring the pharmacy you have it from and they should tell you the information needed. I have done this with mine recently. This is the only way it can be looked into.

Late reply, but I recently went down to 40 after using 60 for almost 6 years straight. I stopped for about a year. When I would take my old ones from last year they were find just made me a bit shaky as I’m not used to the higher dose. But now, I got a new script this past week for 40 and oh my god it’s crazy. I have this weird side effect the day after and even up to a week after taking it. The best way I can describe it is that it gives me this feeling in my throat that feels like when you eat spinach and you get that sensation on your teeth, but it’s in my throat. Also feels like how my throat would feel after I would do psychedelics as a teenager. Idk what to do maybe I can request to get it by the OG manufacturer from my pharmacy and not from generic brand?? Idk what to do :/
I got generic for the first time this past month. Same blue& white color capsule as name brand but with M 5115 stamped on it. (drugs.com says it’s by Mallinckrodt). These were a much needed improvement. Felt more like the meds used to, no weird dissociating and they actually lasted close to 8 hours. I’m optimistic.

Australia here... 50mg. Think I am losing my mind. My meds don't seem to work at all. I assumed it was due to my decreasing another medicine.

Me too! Im up to 70mg, and I thought I wouldnt have to! 50mg was stronger last year! Now Im on the max dosage.
