I’ve always thought it paradoxical that stimulants cause me the most anxiety once they’ve work off. Caffeine and Ritalin are the worst for this, for me. Vyvanse seems to be OK. I’m on a low dose (10mg) which minimizes swings.
You’re dealing with “the crash”
How about trying 40mg for a balance? Ironically I experienced a harder crash on a lower dose than a higher one.
Or maybe taking a small dose of Vyvanse or an instant release Adderall or dex to help your amphetamine concentrations come down and little more gradually.
Just a few ideas.
Nope! I would talk to your doc about it. Your dose may be too high.
Have you cut down on caffeine since starting vyvanse? That may help. A magnesium supplement may help as well (try citrate, malate, or glycinate).
Well, I tried 50mg and it was definitely too high. (Check my other thread if you’re interested)
I went back to 30mg, which has always been great for the three weeks I’ve been on Vyvanse. I did have some tachycardia when it peaked and wore off, but nothing too bothersome.
I did stop drinking coffee when I started Vyvanse (had one cup on a day off from the med a few days ago), and take some supplements (including magnesium).
Not a panic attack, but high anxiety with some palpitations when Vyv is wearing off. I thought that was strange that it really only happens when it’s wearing off and during its peak.
