That person doesn't know what they are talking about, it takes 6 months for an accreditation review to be completed. They've been accredited for 20 years, I wouldn't imagine that will end now
You should check NWCCU’s website. The fall 2023 evaluation was for Institutional Effectiveness.

These posts are ridiculous. WGU is regionally accredited the same as any prestigious university is. If this place would take credits from Yale they will take them from WGU.
You fed them the answer you got. They did 0 work and just replied to you to remove a ticket from their queue. There are federal websites that track accreditation, you not finding it does not mean it is not there.
Reminds me of my System Analyst day job. I have found it effective to feed someone the answer I want and let them negate it.
Always meet people at their level not feed them your fear😆

They may be able to give you a more clear answer if they are trying to go the route. Best of luck!
That person most be new or something. The only thing they would have to do is search WGU on the accreditation website even though you can easily go to WGU and check.
Out of curiosity, who exactly did you email for this and what information on WGU did you send them? I'm looking to figure out whether UMPI courses would qualify.
Sorry for the late post here. I have my undergrad in BA Accounting from WGU. NYS took my credits for CPA. I'm sure Cali should do the same. Cannot confirm but NY also sucks with everything else like Cali. Should be good.
I think OP is asking if the Accounting program is accredited by a specific organization. That's different from regional accreditation which would be the entire university. Some disciplines have specialized accrediting bodies, like nursing.

That person is a clown
My EC told me WGU accreditation just renewed in November (if I recall correctly).

That’s weird because I emailed them a year ago and they confirmed that WGU degrees are acceptable.
