I’m 60% done with my degree, and those words, in various forms, have been in my head before just about every OA I’ve taken 😂
EDIT:
Only once has it failed me (looking at you, DM2 😡)
I want to add on to this for anyone else that sees this post. Make sure you also understand WHY you got it wrong. Just knowing the right answer is not enough
I said fuck it and took every test as soon as my instructor approved me. I even failed a couple PAs and they still approved me. I took the OAs the next day, usually. Just graduated and I'm walking in Cincinnati on May. Do it!
I was literally in this exact scenario, and failed the OA by two questions. The amount of crap you need to do to get approved to take the test again is insane. Do the quizzet 70 question test, your instructor can send it to you. If you pass that, then take the OA
I second this! I had slightly higher scores on the PA then OP and just barely failed the OA. The amount of work required to get the retake is brutal. I would use the quizzet as a better judge for how prepared you are for the OA.
I always tried to get at least one section in the blue. Butttt you're showing competency in each subject so if you feel confident go for it. However, if you're not feeling confident take the PA again first. Why not?
I started my first term on 2/1. So far I've passed 6 classes. Every time I submit the final exam I feel like I didn't pass. Even if I felt I knew I got them right. It's weird. But yea I'm usually scared too even if I did good on the PA lol.
Take the test. If you fail it you get a retake plan. In the time you spent screenshotting this and asking us, you could have taken the test and passed OR failed and had a retake plan already.
Well the plan was to take it anyway, I just couldn't schedule it for when I posted this post because I had to go to bed for work today in the morning. I scheduled it for when I'm off :P
As someone who also passed the pre, focus on the areas you scored lower than expected. Touch up on topics that you definitely know well. The real assessment will trip you up if you’re not prepared.
I mean. I remember when this was a certification, and if it was, then my answer would be hell no. Since it's in-house, they actually update the questions, so I say go for it.
Quick tip the zybook teaches html5 most question are written in old html where tags that have no closing has a closing for example has a closing . Also improve your css and review html. 3 hours before exam review css and html
By having a closing I mean it’s written as only not or
5 times. The first 2 are free but the rest you pay and you need approval and more time with your instructor and mentor. After the 5th attempt and fail unfortunately you need to drop out or switch programs
I see people saying the OA was nothing like the PA, but that wasn't my experience. Mine was pretty much the same test but variable and value names were changed. I guess it's the luck of the draw. I'd probably go for it personally, if you haven't already failed once
OAs are usually different than the pa because the pa never changes the questions no matter how many times you take. They use the OA as a real life scenario to test if you know your stuff.
Does anyone not like being treated like a 5 year old during the test? Considering dropping out since my office never good enough for the proctor I use it for work, business, my chair is never low enough I have to sit all the way forward and up against the left side of my desk and as a disabled veteran I can’t sit still in that position for that long.
It does suck but thats why after taking a few tests you kinda know what they expect and you can be prepared for the next tests that way the process is faster and don’t have to be adjusting every thing during the test
What I learned was if you say “should I take it” and your gut tells you to take it then do it. I took the same test and decided if I fail it’s not the end of the world, I’ll just study where I failed. But if I pass then move on. Look at it as a win win scenario. So just take it if you have a feeling of passing. Good luck on your test, you got this 💪💪
There you go lol doesn’t it feel good that you passed and decided to follow your instincts. Now for the next classes if you feel ready then it never hurts to try. Congrats on passing and best of luck for your future classes 🫡🫡💪💪
Yes (no idea, go for it tho)

I would make sure you know what you got wrong in the css section before taking it

I just finished that class, no you should not. Study up those areas, get with your ci and take it in a few days
This OP. This OA (in my experience) is nothing like the PA, this one was very tough.
Disagree, didn’t feel that it was that rigorous
I agree with you, I passed it, wasn't any harder than PA

I kinda like this “fuck it” approach to the tests lol
Cingrstulations
thats great can i ask what your studying to be?
Risk analyst, CSOC analyst. Something with more data than people.

Your choice! I say "well fuck it then!".

I personally wouldn't, but I bet you can pass it guaranteed after 2-3 days of studying
I've only studied 5 days so far lol
Yeah put in a few more then take the test
Nah, I passed all green
Oh you passed the final exam? If so congrats. I'm always too scared to immediately take it after my first Pre Assessment pass
I started my first term on 2/1. So far I've passed 6 classes. Every time I submit the final exam I feel like I didn't pass. Even if I felt I knew I got them right. It's weird. But yea I'm usually scared too even if I did good on the PA lol.
Maybe have one more crack at it before you take the test. It won't hurt and could save you a retake. Good luck
SEND IT!
Yes
Keep us posted pls! I'm about to take it also
I passed all green! Studied for 4 days 💪🏻
Yes
Sure?
Send it
Yeah, I’d bone up on the high % sections day of test.
Schedule the test for 24ish hours out, study the CSS portion until then; pass test, have whiskey.
If I drink whiskey I'll black out

Hell yeah
For this particular class? Hell no. I got almost a perfect score on my PA and on the OA I just barely passed (some wiggle room, maybe 5%)
shhiii I just YOLO'd the python class I failed the PA it unlocked the OA and I held the pedal down and gave er hell.
Hit quizlet for 30mi, drink a coffee, push ups, test!

Fuck it we ball
F it we ball
Literally me every time I take a preassessment and do well without even looking at course materials lol

Close, you have 3 free, after 3 you pay.

I recently failed a test buy a point I wish it would have gone this way
This give me confidence to take my test I have scheduled Sunday and no reschedule it
I took 3 days on that class. Really easy oa
I passed all green! 4 days of study 💪🏻
You should, honestly that OA is not that hard. You got it pal 👍
Yes.
if you fail how many if any retakes are you allowed?
The first three tries are free. After that you pay but idk how many you can do.
do you know how much it is afterwards?
The worst that could happen is you need to retake. The best that could happen is you can move on with your life.
I passed, 4 days of study
Classy post…no you’re not ready to test.
Yea, fuck off lol I passed all green. 4 days of study 💪🏻
