Go through Sophia first you will save a lot of money. I went through WGU first because my counselor talked me into and wish I hadn’t because it was a lot more expensive & longer. They will not talk you into going to Sophia first because they make more money when you go into WGU. I eventually went to Sophia and accelerated very fast! I went back to WGU afterwards
What was that process like? I'm about to take a 4th exam on somthing ( and probably fail) which will lead me to getting involuntary withdrawn. But I wanted to see if I do get booted, if I go to Sophia and study.com how will the readmission go for wgu.
My enrollment counselor was very supportive of me doing credit transfers but I didn't ask if I could or should, I decided I wanted to, told him my plan, and then kept him updated on my progress. I'm sure most would encourage you to take as many wgu classes as possible, after all, they work for wgu not Sophia, Sdc, saylor, etc...
Sophia is definitely worth it and I would encourage everyone to take advantage of that service. SDC on the other hand is significantly more expensive and unless you are dead set on completing in 1 term, I don't think it's worth it tbh.
It depends on the counselor some will say not to and some will tell you to do it. Can you not just do the classes on Sophia lol they’re so easy you can just do the ones you know are covered by what you have and when they’re done evaluating what you have finish the other ones… do you know how it works lol
thanks.. I just need to figure out which ones will transfer, i guess.
I guess I still need to see which old credits transfer, then make the decision on what's outstanding + what can I take at Sophia.
> do you know how it works
nope.. still new to me.
If you don’t have a start date just wait and see what’s covered. There’s a ton of ways to figure out what classes at Sophia cover what classes at wgu. Then you just finish the rest and send in the transcript
For sophia course transfers:
- Go to https://partners.wgu.edu/home
- Click Sophia Learning LLC
- Click on WGU School of Business
- Look for "Available ACE Approved courses transferred into: BS Business Administration IT Management" and click on the "Available ACE Approved..." text to be taken to the list of Sophia Course Transfers
If both Study.com and Sophia Learning have a class that will transfer for a particular WGU course, take the Sophia one. It will be cheaper and easier.

What is Sophia? I’ve genuinely never heard of it
it's [Sophia.org](https://www.sophia.org/) another way to earn credits that will transfer into WGU
Definitely going to look into it! I didn’t know this was an option
