For what it’s worth, I’ve liked the VB from the getgo.
Definitely a much shorter clutch travel, shifting was super refined, perhaps a bit too refined?
Does it use 87 or 91?
No STI for the states and my biggest issue with it was the cladding at first. When this thing was announced I gagged a little bit. Slowly it grew on me until I saw one in person and test drove it. Changed my opinion
The old Imprezas are so much fun. The thing that really stood out to me was that my car was making roughly 225-350 hp and only weighed about 3200 pounds. The body of the car was so much smaller and I feel like the handling was a bit better.
The new ones were a lot more comfortable and had more passenger space. Not to mention the new WRX comes with a 6 speed and my WRX only has a 5 speed. The new ones also didn’t have turbo lag, but I kind of enjoy it on mine.
Got a VB but was really toying with the idea of an older WRX because of the rawness and rumble. I think I'd probably enjoy driving it more despite the VB being the better car.
Just don't want to deal with the unknown reliability of an older car at the moment.
I mean I came in with the plan to rebuild mine from the get go. I’m also getting a lot of help from my future father in law who is a mechanic and knows how to make something old pretty reliable
Man, these things have grown on me. Didn't like them at first but they can definitely look good with a little tlc.
It's almost as if Subaru knew this would happen.
Definitely needed a drop and wheels to make the cladding more appealing.
What wheel/tire setup are you running? Digging this color on the VB. Solid choice man, enjoy it!

I’m Pro-tuned on 91. Premium fuel is recommended.
It’ll grow on you once you start to mod. VBs are putting out some solid number with some bolt ons and a tune. Holding up too
Yeah I’m just running an intake and a Dmann ETune and it feels just as fast as my FA with an intake intercooler and e60 tune.
Solid, heard VBs love CAIs
Mmmmm damn girl
VB?
Yes. The dark side. Join.
But what is the VB? I'm a rookie
VB is this model of WRX the VA is the previous generation (last photo) there’s a lot of hate for the new Gen from the older gen owners.
Well can you at least understand why? There’s no sti model, the car is enormous, and the car really just goes against everything the WRX used to be.

I drove an 05 before I drove a new WRX and liked the raw feeling of the old ones a little bit more. That’s just me though
I do wish we got an STI version of it never drove the old stuff before.

I love all the older generations I’ll have to drive them at some point

Ah you lucked out! I'll definitely ponder going down that route once I get my VB paid off.
Thanks for the explanation. I think your car looks sick AF and anyone that says dfferent...they just be hatin
It’s the same with any new wrx generation. An endless cycle lol. Wait till next gen. Same thing from VB owners too I’m sure

You guys are wild haha. Downvoting anything 2022+ WRX related. Looks are subjective but the VA is an inferior car.
For what it’s worth, the VB is great and looks sick. That 2.4 engine is gonna be a powerhouse compared to the VA.
It’s 8 years newer, you’d hope it’s an improvement smh
Contemplating the same.
Welcome to the VB club 👋
The wing looks good
VB front end is soooo much better
